We get underway tomorrow Very poor information here about the draw and times. We were in One Side this evening and there were some sheets finally. Hooch plays Petroni at noon, Nick plays Chang from Taiwan at 16:00 and I play Lilly from Indonesia also at 16:00.

Had some games at One Side the last two days. I beat Jerome Pena 15-12 for 20.000(330euro) yesterday. Today I played a little weaker vs Oi from Japan. Lost the 20 back in two sets 9-11 and 8-11. Always good practice anyway

It is pretty sad that world class athletes have to go to a bar/poolhall to get information about when they will play the next day...

Now it is almost midnight in the Philippines, and the tournament will start in less than 12 hours. Still no draw awailable on the internet, and it is just released to the players, who happened to be at a poolhall in Mabini Street.....

oh well, atleast there were some free food for the reporters at the press conference :)

Since the very start it is misinformation or lack of has been the root of all their problems. Why do they do this? To give them room to maneuver to their benefit.

So many questions unanswered:
1. Do they have an event permit or are they risking getting shut down tomorrow?
2. Does RAYA have a valid Promoter's License or again risking getting shutdown? Are they banking on connections when they try to break the country's laws?
3. If they're suppose to be the World's Greatest Pool Tournament for 2008, why the anemic event marketing drive?
4. Why the lack of information about the Qualifier going-ons?
5. Why is it that even when they are known braggarts we still don't get info that can settle us down.
6. Why isn't the "draw" published on their site yet when it's already 11:43 pm Sunday local time?
7. Why the anemic reporting from their foreign, seems to be in-cahoots, associates? Do these people stand to gain any financial rewards from this event? Is it worth sacrificing their compatriots?

Sort of seems like they are trying to manipulate this tournament as much to their own benefit as possible, NOT for the players! Hope they don't try and shaft the competitors. Sorry way to run a world championship event.

The draw was available to all players at 8PM at the banquet. Had the players been at the banquet as requested they would have had the info they needed. Those who went elsewhere had to get the info as best they could.

As I am from Czech Republic I root for Roman Hybler. And Roman is the force to be reckoned with when on the fire which he proved by beating Corey 9:8! Way to go! Tomorrow Roman will face Jasmin which wont be an easy match by any means.
