Hey how are you guys doing I have finally had enough lolligagging around in my local pool room and have decided to do something about it. I am going to try my hardest to start up a straight pool league with about 15 to 20 players. I currently have eight players including myself interested so that leaves me looking still.
If you are interested or know someone who might be let me know. Feel free to PM me or put your info in this thread. I look forward to hearing back. Would like to try and make a great season have some fun matches and watch some good straight pool. No one who is currently involved is a cut throat player, we are all just trying to better our selves at the game and have some fun in the process.

I wish you the best starting a straight pool league. It is an awesome game. As for players in the NYC area, just about every 'Great' player and most good ones, participate in the straight pool league at Amsterdam Billiards. Danny Baruty is the director, who is a fantastic player and person, and you play great players like Steve Lipsky in the advanced levels. Anyway, good luck again!!

I would love to take part in the Amsterdam League the only problem is its in the cuty which is a bit of a trek. I have heard great things about it though. I might try and play the next time it starts up.

You can call Amsterdam at 212-995-0333. Danny Barouty runs it and is there Monday nights and Saturdays at Noon. If you know you want to play you can just register over the phone.

Does anyone know Steve Kalet (spelling?) He should be in his early 60's and I think from Long Island. He and I were in the military together. At the time he was the best on the base.

It is great to see that all money goes back to the players!
No Fees, or Administration costs!
