Haha, thanks guys. Quite an unnecessary posting... when I go 0-7 in the round robin this year, I'm going to hope this thread is waaaay buried on azb.
Definitely looking forward to the tournament, as always. As far as I'm concerned, it's the greatest week for pool in the world.
Thanks again. ;)

Watched Steve play and win today in N.J. He almost made it look easy, and we all know what that means! I respect and admire his game, and that says it all for me. I wish I was near N.J. so I could take a few lessons. Keep it up Steve...Tom:thumbup2:

It's amazing to watch someone that knows what they are doing play 14.1. Great game Steve.

He should be on again today. He's one of four alive on the winner's side. His mentor, Danny Barouty is on the left side and may get back to meet him.

When I showed up at the pool hall last night Steve was maybe half way through his match. I sat down to watch when D. Barouty began his match on the next table. So it was a real treat to watch Steve and Danny play simultaneously next to each other. Both were handling their opponents pretty easily I thought.
I know this is Steve's thread, but I have to say Barouty just flew through racks like nothing. He made it look very easy. I haven't watched him enough to know if it's always like that, or if the balls went his way this match. (His opponent was definitely thrown off his game.) He ran typically two or three racks at a clip, and the only reason he didn't run more is that he'd make some spectacular shot but lose the cue ball in the same uptable corner pocket every time.

There is a thread on the main forum....
I believe Dan Louie is the winner, Lipsky graciously defaulted to him. There's more to the story.
