First! :groucho:

Congratulations on the new high run Dennis!! I'm very happy for you. You've certainly worked hard to reach this new high. Hoping to see you in a couple weeks.

Very nice shootin dennis !

If you would of taken a moment to breath on the last setup for the break i dont think you would have overstroked it.

You were right in going to the rail, i think the nerves got the best of ya.

Thats when i find taking a moment to exhail really does the trick!

Soon enough you will hit new higher levels, and soon enough some triple digits!

Again Nice Shootin!

Steve

I agree with you, Steve! Very good advice!

He was well on his way to 70 - but we've all done that b4! LOL

Dennis, you look like a completely different player! Great job!

No doubt we have all done that before.

It is tough to control your nerves when you get close to , and top your high run goal.

Its best to dismiss it once you surpass your goal and go for glory!

I Know easier said than done !!

Thanks, Steve.

I needed to follow about an inch more on the previous shot and then I could have just slow rolled it over there. I had a little bit of a bad angle and I was putting reverse on it, but you are right, I did overstroke it.

Well, at least I didn't set the bar too high for the next one.;)

i used too like hanging out with bill but now hes getting to where he can beat me .so im divorcing him.
if you start playing like this all the time i will have nobody to hang out with.

A great run but also, to me, an inspiration. Dennis shows that it's possible to improve if you work at it, even when you're .... well, no longer a kid.

Thanks for the inspiration, buddy!

Rich, that's just the same thoughts that I have. 50 is my major goal for the time being, and I see it is possible to reach it, with the help of Blackjack, John Schmidt, Bill Maropulos, Steve Lipsky and other posters who share their thoughts, approach and videos.
Dennis, congratulations!!! That's a hurdle to step over!

Rich: As you quickly pointed out Thursday, I was able to run my age.

There is a lot more that we can do, even at our age. Work on the stroke, learn about patterns that will make the runs easier. I think its a game we can get better at for a long time yet, until the eyes and the limbs start to fail us.

Thanks, John. Your play and words have been an inspiration to me. And you know Bill and I sweat all his runs and my runs and some of your runs (but they are so long!:D). When we are going over the runs, I often hear, "Schmidty always tells me ...." and it is usually some advice about what to do in a certain layout, which balls to pick, which English to use, how hard to hit. So I am indirectly getting a lot of direction from you which I appreciate.

See you later this month.

Great run! Although not a great player myself, I can notice you have improved substantially since the DannyD lesson video for example. Keep on!

Great run big guy, I owe you a steak and a Sam A.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Now is that a good steak, like we had at Binions at the Derby:D or a sports bar skirt steak?:frown:

Either way, as long as there is a little Sam to wash it down, it should be ok.

Congratulations, Dennis! Very nice run. I think that's right around where my high run is if I remember correctly. Maybe we can play when I see you at the World event this month, though I'm only coming up for a day I think.

Thanks, Jeff. We miss your input here on the board.

I have to leave on Friday from NJ. How far of a drive is it for you? I may end up having admission tickets for the semis and finals that I can't use.

I'll be in touch. Pm me your cell. I have a new phone.

Dennis I am real proud of you buddy. You are getting better every time I see your videos. Congrats buddy on breaking the 50 barrier. You are a rack from 70 I know you got that in you and I expect you will be very inspired by your trip to Jersey. I need to play more and I need to get up to the club. Keep it going buddy.

Thanks, Dana.

I almost got there again a couple days ago. Ran a 39 and soft rolled a shot into the side that drifted a little and hit the tit. Pushed the ball in and kept shooting and made another 15.

Then yesterday I couldn't break 20.

Well.... maybe it's because you get up so dammed early! :groucho:

I always thought it was the country boys that got up before the chickens but it's you city boys that really beat the clock!
