Thanks for the compliments. I play for a bar called The Longshot on McDowell Rd east of Miller Rd. (formerly Dr. Feelgood's) It is our first season at this new bar, and to be honest, it's not the greatest place for league pool. There is just not enough room around the tables. For the last few years I have only played on Wednesday nights in Rack'em up league. I would like to get out soon for a tournament. I think I've read on here that Pappy's has good tourneys. I don't really ever get to the west side, but I would like to soon. Does anybody remember a pool hall that used to be on Scottsdale Rd. just south of Thomas. It was called Stardust Billiards. It is long gone, but that is where I played most of my pool. Must have been about 18 years or so ago, back when I was in stroke on a big table. I'm pretty much a bar box only player now. Where do you play Mike?

I play for Pappys on Thursday nights. I used to live out that way, so that is still where I play mostly. There and Alexanders are pretty much it for me.

I played in Stardust a couple times many many moons ago. I actually live around there now.

No kidding Mike. I live right at Thomas & Granite Reef. So what's a good tourney for me to try, maybe 8's & under on Friday or Saturday? I don't mind traveling west.

The 8's and under at Alexanders is the tournament that I usually go to on Friday nights. Almost any Friday night, you will find both Chucklez and myself there.

The Friday night tourney fills up fast though. You would want to call ahead to have them hold a place for you.

They also have an 8's and under on Saturday nights that draws less players.
