Thanks for the info Mike. I didn't know Grice is that soft.
Great choice in Ivor-X. It's my favorite ferrule material too.
OF course, I'm biased. I was the first to use one. :-)

yep, grice is pretty soft, the one thing i never want to experience again, is an elkmaster on a grice ferrule... omg, it hit like a shoe string lol, a triangle or moori (nice and firm) are great with the grice ferrule... does anybody know the difference between the Prather Linen based ferrule and ivorine 3???
Thanks
Jon

Here ya go.http://www.antlerchandelier.net/antler/pictures/elk_cascd_ch.jpg :p
I'll send you some Ivor-X blanks.
That'll get you to practice with your 1/4" nail threader.
I made a bootload of them for the BCA last year. :D

To Joseph Cues
My opinion was based on ferrule hardness and which stays clean. I bought some of the ivory x.
Played with it for a while and chose not to offer it on my cues.
I offer melamine, ivory. If the customer request I'll do aegis. The other ferrules are strictly for repairs
