David Alcaide (SPA) defeats Lee Van Corteza (PHI) 10-8

Pat Holtz (SCO) defeats Kevin Uzzel (ENG) 10-6

Chao Fong Pang (TPE) now trailing Fu (TPE) 7-6, chao on the table

...and he makes it 7-7. Chao to break.

he breaks and runs out for 8-7.

rack 16 is a safety battle....and chao misses an easy 4 after coming up with great safety shots.


and fu takes advantage for 8-8

he's taking his time....he shoots....and he scratches on the 1!

jeff de luna sinks the 2 in the corner, has an easy layout....taking his time on every shot....two balls remaining.....and he's thru to the final 16!

yeah...he's one happy dude!

Meanwhile, Wu chia-ching is through to the final 16, too. he seems unstoppable, the way he's playing right now. would we see a repeat? haven't had one of those since.....earl strickland?

I haven't seen his opponent playing their A game, missing easy shots and
handing easy outs to Wu. I'll reserve my comments for later...
