Do you think playing on bar tables is a help or a hindrance to advancing a player's skills???

Only if your trying to tighten up your position play.
Practice on a big table to help your bar table game.
And to answer your question. HINDERANCE
Patterns are simpler on a bar table.
Those patterns don't transfer to the 9-foot tables.

What's ironic about this is last night I went to play some small money games on the barboxes at a local tourney and coudln't make a run to save my life, I'm definatly getting too used to fast cloth on my bigger table and it was very frustrating, do you ever find it hard to adjust to different cloth speeds and conditions or after years of playing on almost every condition possibly does it come pretty quickly to you?

I'd say playing on a BB helps out your position play alot more, because you need more precision.

But, being able to pocket balls from anywhere on a 9ft table, will make you a monster on the BB tables.

So playing on both helps you out
