Mason and Joey both make great hitting cues. Currently shooting with a cue from Mason, and have zero complaints about the cue. One of my all time favorites.

Joey also makes one hell of a cue. Can't wait to get another one.

Would say they both had a nice stiff, crisp hit to me. Both balanced nicely, and workmanship was great.

Thanks Jim.
Your next cue is very special.
The collar is a buckhorn out of a buck who fathered a thousand.
He finally died after hanging onto a caribou. He was stuck in the air for a long time and died due to dehydration.
The purpleheart comes from a water starved tree. Word is the stream in the forrest where the purpleheart came from is so shallow, the fish there never learned to swim.
The maple shaft comes from Canada. The tree it came from is blessed because Big Foot peed on it.
I will have Efren sign the cue. It will be special b/c I am gonna have Efren sign it with his left hand.
This cue will make you shoot like Efren in no time. It has zero cueball squirt and incredible cueball action. You will be drawing balls like Larry Nevel even if the shaft had no tip.

I agree I'm one of the fortunate few that have got an opportunity to try both cue builders....Both Mason and Joey make excellent playing cues, here are some fine examples....

..........and you can get one for yourself for only $300 but you have to order it by midnight. After that there will be no more...the next ones will be thousands. Its the best playing cue ever, but you might not like it. If you don't like it then don't bother me cause its only $300. This cue draws balls better than a magic marker but you have to order it now. Call JoeyO. :D

And how do I go about getting a cue from them?

Do they work together and is that why they are included in same thread? Are they like Mottey and JMW? Marie-Kate and Ashely Olsen?

Were there any mention of "ton" in this thread? I think any cue review thread is worthless if the cue doesn't hit at least a ton ... and is that metric or English measurement?

By the way, isn't "tonne" more proper than "ton"? What about "tonneau"?

Even though I know you know the answers to your questions I'll answer...

No they don't work together
Yes their cues hit a Ton
How you get one is up to them, and as has been pointed out they both posted in this thread and you can pm them.

Joey is in Cali
Mason is in Tenn
As far as I know they have never met, share no dna, and don't have anything in common other than making great hitting cues in their own unique ways.

I don't know who is hotter currently. Last time I saw them they both looked like it was time for rehab again.

Saw the club member, had to go find out what it means since I don't read the main forum very often.

you know my wife likes to do that sigh thing when I ignore her too....

Long Ton would be the answer, which I think would equate to the metric ton. If I remember right that would 2240 lbs.

Now some cues hit a short ton, but not these two makers.

I'm only interested if there's more mystery surrounding them - unfortunately, both of these guys actually know how to make a cue, and what it takes to make a cue play well. I was hoping I was wrong about that, but too many knowledgeable people have confirmed it. I want a cue that plays well because it has 'magical karma' and the cue-maker figured it out while sitting under a Tamarind tree while meditating.

In addition, I've already seen examples of their beautiful craftsmanship, and I'm really looking for a sneaky pete with a bad finish and a fake hoppe ring.

Okay, I confess - I'm just knocking them because I want to horn in on their business and become a mystical cue-maker.

Scott the magic cue-maker<=== "I'll make a cue that plays like any maker you want, for just $299.95 - that's right, just $299.95! " .... still looking for 1950's-look smiling, greasy-haired talking head avatar

It hits real well in my opinion. I'm not a big fan of metal in rings, but like how these look. Hope they don't pop up as the cue ages, but most metal rings do.

Taper on the shaft produces a nice stiff hit. Its in my top 10 all time favorite cues I've owned.

Cleveland to start with. Paramedic buddy of mine says that it ranks right up there with Mayos and Walter Reed, depending on what you are going for its #1,2, or 3.

Be nice if they can help her and she can get her life back to normal, maybe finish her Masters.
