Every cue dealer I have ever talked to (with one MAJOR exception) has been very easy and accomodating.

Wouldn't it be a shorter, more congenial list of the nicest, calmest, most warmhearted cuedealer to ever grace this forum?

I know they exist.......
Actually, there are a few on AZ at this moment that I've met peridically that I could honestly say that about.
However, there are a few out there in the world that I would have to go the other way with......
But, I do have to admit they are generally pretty loyal to a few select cuemakers

Me... :D

I'll tell you a quick story. In 1997 or so we did the Hopkins with 30 fancy Bushkas and another 20-30 Szambotis. I bragged to everyone we had 1.5 million in cues. Anyone that would listen, I yapped to. I even walked the show in front of my competitors booth's not only saying this, but then adding how great the show was, bla bla bla... I even mooned Dick Abbott while spouting off Corinthians. I was really full of myself then, but then I saw the light and realized that what was better served was to just let my cues do the talking and not to talk about anyone else.

JV (--but I still cannot get rid of this sarcastic streak... there should be an 11th commandment.. though shalt not be a smart a$$.. :D

Roy Malott, at Indy Q is amazingly strange. I avoid him like the crazy uncle at the family reunions.

I would add for the good guys all the guys at Cueaddicts and the SUREMAN!

Since we are on the subject of cuemakers, a while back there was a link on the homepage of AZ Billiards labeled "rare cues." There were many nice examples of cues being offered for sale, and pictures of those that had already sold.

I can't find the link anymore, but I have always wondered which dealer they belonged to; my guess was Salazar. Anyone know for sure?

I had the displeasure of having a brief communication with him myself. It made me wonder if he even cared how he talks to people.

John Wright took a piss while trying to talk me out of a Szam cue over the phone. I thought that was a little outrageous. He flushed any hope of a sale with that move.

Robin, you are great, but my only gripe is that there are other cuemakers out there besides McDermott that make great cues:D

You may not remember me. Scott Benoit from Louisiana. We have done a couple of C and D series trades in the past. Haven't been down to C.C. in several years.

Take care.

I prefer not to elaborate too much in public until the deal is done one way or the other. If it continues to go south I will share ALL the details here.

Thanks for the info. I figured by now he would have some sort of webpage. I used to like going to Chesapeake Cues and Greg Matthew's websites.

Everything is over. Dick declined to take the cues back even thought they were grossly misrepresented. He offered to trade for another cue/cues. I thought this was unacceptable because the first cues were way off from their descriptions and I did not trust him to make good the second time. He then agreed to a partial refund but backed out until I would edit my original post on this forum "I am currently being screwed by Dick Abbott". That statement was all fact. Dick would not reply to my e-mails until I sent several requests. After he backed out of the agreement for a partial refund I told him to go f--- himself and ended communication. I will never deal with him again. Dick pulled one over on a friend of mine on a $3,000 deal about 3 years ago. It is my own fault for trusting him.

Bruce, I am not a fan of posts like this.

You are begging people to air their dirty laundry and I find it to be very bad taste.

Now that you have started this thread and invited the dirt to be dished, I am the one getting the emails and stuck with the job of calming the waters and cleaning the mess.

Gee, thanks.
