It's been some time since I've played 14.1 and am starting to play again. Can someone tell me what the rule is on jump shots, jump cues, are they allowed now?
Thanks, Rodger

Jump cues are not allowed, but jumping a ball with a full cue is.

Thanks for the rule clarification. See you have a Olney. I'm shopping for a reasonably priced one if you have any spares lying around. Currently playing with a Frey which I like real well.
Thanks, Rodger

I've ask this question on IPMag before, but what is the legal definition of a jump shot? I get so many "bar rules", "APA rules", "TAP rules", and "BCA rules." Can't billiards get a standard set of rules.....period?

n00bs n33d 4 definition!

Are you allowed to use multiple cues in a match? One for shooting and another for jump shots?

I don't see present WPA rules restricting jump cues usage in any fashion. Thus, they are allowed.
I recall a controversy here after See Hiudji used a shorty in 14.1 WC final last year.
