I'll tell ya what it is Koop, it's absolute BULLSHIT! He takes pot shots at DM over and over and over and no one blinks an eye but you point out one thing that he said about OHB, whom many here in the forum cared about and were effected by his death, and your posts get deleted. We can't win Koop, that's what it comes down to. I'm not gonna kiss nobodys ass here and I don't care about warnings or bans and I sure don't give a **** if this post or all of my posts get deleted. I say what I mean and I mean what I say. We're all adults here and we hear curse words all day long, that's how some of us attempt to get our point across. Whatta damn joke this place has become. Protect the idiots, let them say what they want, but ban the ones that actually have something to say.

Good, Mike, for I don't think you or the other moderators should ever feel compelled to publicly defend the decisions you make regarding deletion of threads.

To anybody who has ever had one of their threads/posts deleted, the answer to "Who deleted it?" is always "somebody who had a right to do so." A thread is a book that all posters write together, and a book containing even one unacceptable chapter must be taken off the shelves of AZB. While it's true that what constitutes "unacceptable" is subjective, the moderators do the best they can. This policy makes AZB a much better forum, but the occasional cost of the policy is that a good thread can be lost. I have and always will believe that it's a price well worth paying.

I really tire of the public bashing of forum moderators, and I am really hoping to see the end of threads solely intended to bash the actions of the moderators. I'm quite sure that the moderators will explain their actions if inquiries into such matters are done by private message. I'm also quite certain that recommendations to the moderators through private message will be taken seriously.

IMO, when/if someone posts something that is clearly out of line it is not an accident so then there is no reason to explain BUT when a post is something that is slightly out of line and needs to be deleted or other ways moderated it would be a good policy to automatically inform that person about the reason why that happened. That, of course, if there is not that much to do works like that.

You know, it's not as if I disliked OHB and sought to be mean, vengeful, hurful, spiteful or insulting. I made an insensitive post without thinking it through. Within a few minutes I realized my mistake and wanted to Delete it, but it had already been quoted. I was banned for my wrong remark for a time (which I deserved) and I then banned myself for an additional period. When I returned to AZB I apologised for my stupidity and asked for forgiveness.
It must be nice to be so perfect that you never have made a mistake or said something that you were later sorry for. What I said was wrong and once again, I apologize to friends and family of OHB. I truly didn't mean to insult OHB or belittle him or make light of his passing. Like everyone else, I miss him and his posts. I have never asked for nor sought special treatment from the moderators and I DON'T PM them about posts and/or posters here (including the deleted posts).
I hope that the AZB family can eventually forgive me and I'm aware that some won't and will dwell on it forever.

Smorg, I've no idea what the post that caused the conflict was about, but ...
... from what I know of you from "the old days" on RSB, I can't imagine you under any circumstances turning to somebody else for special treatment. For better or worse, you enjoy a good battle as much as anybody I've seen online.

Doug, just so the rest of AZ knows where this is coming from: I happen to know you a little better than some of the posters, coming from the same part of the country, having met you and shared a little vino from time to time. I know you aren't a holier-than-thou, kind of guy, nor a go behind your back kind of guy. I also know that you, like everyone here on AZ occasionally has lapses in judgment.

You've admitted your mistake and apologized in as sincere a manner as I could imagine. I believe you are sincere in your admission and apology. I hope that OHB's family and many friends decide to give you another chance to be a part of the AZ family.

I wonder what OHB would say?

Although I would generally agree that the moderators do a good job in keeping this forum civil, I can think of one instance where the moderators were asleep at the wheel, so to speak.

Recently, a thread was opened by 'watchez' on "Young man with ACTION PAINS heading out West...." I had expressed my opinion on gambling, upon which watchez engaged in name-calling of me and other posters and expressed some of the most vicious insults that I have ever seen in this forum.

Among watchez's many insults:
- people with comprehension problems really irritate me.
- Now please don't get your pants all in a bunch again.
- I dont speak to morons more than once so please dont speak to me again.
- Please try to keep educating the rest of the comprehension deficit posters.
- I have never met Antonio Lining but I hope he is a person of a much better class then you are used to hanging around with if you are a friend of Jack Hynes.
- Oh and then, lastly I have to listen to the moronic railbirds put words in my mouth after they completely fail all aspects of comprehension.
- You are another one with a comprehension problem.
- If you want to make inane comments like gambling is bad or cannot comprehend what I type than I will try to correct you as I see fit. I see you, Allen, as a jealous old man of the way an 18 year old kid can play.
- And to Scott Lee and his poolknowledge website. Your comments are equally as inane.
- you are so weak. Your last post is probably the most pathetic thing I have ever read on this forum.

According to the rules of this forum:

Given watchez's flagrant violations of the rules of this forum, it is reasonable to ask why watchez's posts haven't been deleted and why he hasn't been banned from this forum?
