Pookster.........thanks.......I covered that point in my recent post..........FYI, the shafts on my EP are 22%, My Scruggs is 20%, and my four Owen & Rauenzahn cues are a combination of 21 & 22% shaft mass ratios.........all of these cues have cue butts that weigh 14.5 ozs, except for the EP which is a 14.6 ounce butt & 4.2 ounce flat faced shafts........a truly amazing combination....

Predator tip silencer pad replacement - voids warranty?

OKAY - here is the long and short of it . . .when replacing the original existing tip on ANY Predator shaft you might consider NOT removing all of the leather from the existing tip (unless absolutely necessary) - this will provide a clean uniform surface when done properly in the lathe and will eliminate ALL the discussion on voiding any warranty. Bonding to the VERY thin layer of the old tip will give you a nice porous surface for the new glue to adhere to and now you will not have worry about...

The Great Pale Male

Posted 05-09-2016 at 10:18 AM by Nostroke
Updated 05-17-2016 at 02:32 PM by Nostroke

So Iím on the job- Iíve found Pale Male sitting on the roof of the Carlyle Hotel which is on Madison Ave a full block away from Fifth Ave which borders the Park and 3 blocks North of my spot by the Sailboat pond.. In addition Iím 200 yards further into the Park and Pale Male is 50 stories in the air. It has to be 1/4-3/8 of a mile away or more but i have my best scope on him and itís a pretty good view.

A guy comes along in one of those handicapped scooters and he is all excited when...

What "Mods" have you made to your favorite playing cue and why?

Elastic hair tie. When Scott gave a lesson I played wrapless, he positioned the hair tie on my cue so I knew what was correct for my stroke. It was ingrained in a short period of time. Thx Scott.

Shaft sanding!!

I believe my post also provided a comment from Laurie Franklin, who I called soon after buying a South West cue in 1991.

Tuesday January 26, 2016

Posted 01-26-2016 at 02:58 PM by Kevin3824

Well I got more pool goodies in the mail today. I recieved a set of aramith tournament pro cup balls value pack, an aramith case, and a wood score string.

I also decided to touch base with Heath from Manning cues once again as I wanted to try to get capitol one to accept a payment from my bank so I could make another payment to Manning Cues. After all he did for me up to this point I actually started to feel bad about ordering pool related items from anyone else. I have made the...

A great Idea

Posted 01-26-2016 at 06:13 AM by Kevin3824

As you all know I recently purchased a Diamond Pro-am through Manning cues. I cannot express how good an idea that was for me. Heath is an amazing man. While I was looking over my bank account the other day I noticed that my bank PNC bank had charged me a 3% international pos fee on each of my purchases from manning cues. I contacted my bank and after speaking with them and later actually debating with them to get the charges removed they did remove a minor $6.60 charge for my second purchase but...
