The US team missed shots (it pains me to say that, but they did).
The selection process sucked and you should've had Player X on the team instead of Player Y.
The Euros had 2 bald players, we had none. How could you expect to beat odds like that

This is more a How than a Why.
USA failed collectively to defeat Europe. There is no legitimate arguement about the equipment or the rules. Europe posted up five players in their prime including several world title holders.
USA players did their best but unfortunately fell short. Bergman and Woodward appear to be the future. Shane as great as he is just seems to not get in gear.
