    anybody need a distraction?

A couple things... I made a trick shot video 25 years ago. Today seemed like a good time to put this up I was inspired by the Japanese trick shot master Yoshikazu Kimura and tried to make as many of his shots as I could. most of the other shots came from a book from Robert Byrne I really...

    Gold Crown (option #2)

That is a great looking table for sure I hit balls on a gc1 before I bought it a few years ago, and the main reason I did buy it is that the rails were amazing, way faster than my medalist, and after a diy restoration that kept me busy for six months, plays great. Except that/ The pocket...

Chances of meeting single female that likes billiards

I met one, actually 2, number two was for just one night. We had never met prior. Playing partners eight ball with her she asked if I would like to "get" together that night. of course I did. She said if we win the next game we could go to her apartment. I think I ran it out. Number one may 9...

    Disappointing Sportsmanship or Not?

In a five dollar tournament, at a bowling alley, a guy let me shoot the wrong ball and then jumped up to inform me of my mistake. I think I said something like wtf? The guy said its not my job or something like that. whatever, some guys do and others do not. I think it is a sign of a persons...

Pocket facing help. Table rejecting balls and sounds dead

Wow, you weren't kidding, the angles range from 142.6 all the way up to this: I can see now how this angle would repel balls away from the pocket. btw the picture with the angle finder is the same one as in the picture the 12 ball is on.

Pocket facing help. Table rejecting balls and sounds dead

Thanks, I'll check that out. Not that I would do anything about it though. I don't think the first owner would have done anything to change the angles and have to assume they are straight from the factory. steven It would have sucked to redo the facings only to not solve the problem thanks again

Pocket facing help. Table rejecting balls and sounds dead

I have the same problem as Sean. Although I don't get a thud or wooden sound. When I put the table together I used thicker facings on the corner pockets, which I read would minimize the balls being rejected. That didn't work out very well. The pockets are only about an eighth inch smaller than...

John Schmidt live streaming straight pool

I for one cannot believe there aren't 100,000 people signed on to this already. hell, az billiards has thousands of members, the U.S.A. has millions of at least recreational players, The world, who knows. A while back I asked a couple people if the number 626 had any meaning to them and they...

Watching mr. 400 trying to break the record

I read somewhere that when a player spots a ball he is acting as a referee, not a player, therefor no foul. As for not having them in perfect alignment I can't say other than it doesn't matter to me. Who is to say the ref gets them perfect anyway? steven

Favorite Brunswick Gold Crown I Color Scheme?

Here is a picture of mine. The blue cloth hurts my eyes after a couple of hours, hence the light brown which I can play on all day. Plus the brown chalk doesn't leave a blue mess on my hands! I like those decals a lot, I might look into getting one for the side. steven

    Riley Snooker Table Assembly Video

Every time I see that video I am afraid the kid isn't going to pick up that washer. Then he does and everything is all right again. As an amateur pool table mechanic I would say: "Yes, I would gladly let them in my house" I wonder why they used tacks instead of staples on the table cloth? It...
