Thanks for your helpful reply! Would I be able to customise the joint pins type as well? Like all the 3/8, 5/16 etc? And would I have to choose the type of ferrule or most cue makers have their own preferences for these items?
I would like to get a custom cue someday but I hardly know anything about cues. So may I ask what are the questions you ask a completely ignorant customer to help them build a cue? I would like to do some research on my own before approaching a cue maker. Thanks in advance
Hmmm yes I agree and I see where you're coming. So can you list some brands and names in each class (high/mid/low) for both production and custom cues?
I think that it shouldn't be what my price range would be that determines what's high end or low end? For example everyone would generally deem a ferrari to be high end regardless of how much my budget for a car is right? Just my opinion!
Are schons considered mid-high end cues? How do you define if a cue is low, mid or high end cue? Do list some examples of production and custom cues in each range. Thanks
Then may I ask what's the difference between phenolic and phenolic resin? And are these two tips together with the samsara and regular layered and triangle tips the only types of tips for break cues?
9 ball will never be obsolete because it is THE GAME in terms of pool. It is the most popularised game out of all pool sport. You might see other games gaining a place in pool sport but I don't think 9 ball will go down the drain in due time.
sorry now i'm confused. i do understand that all the inlays do not help in the game. so what i want to ask is if 2 cues are from the same maker and one costs $200 while the other is $600 is it purely because of the inlays used? or is it due to a difference in lets say the wood used or the...
Hi all. I'm from singapore and i'm intending to get a new cue. We don't really have the luxury of having many importers so I can't really try the cue first. And I would like to upgrade myself to a decent mid high end cue. But I don't really wanna pay for all the ivories and cocobolo what nots...
