    Modern age

My question to the cuemakers is....... Will the day come when customers become informed and have cues made to very specific details to the nth level. Will a universal chart be made so all the cuemakers/customers can view how each characteristic effects playability.(good project for the...

    Collection/Counterfiet

Do many cuemakers use any feature or multiple features that is not known to the public. Like marks or signatures under the wrap, a notch in a joint pin thread. Anything that would show it has to be a cue made by you. To help A. prove its authentic if/when it becomes collectable B. find out if...

    DEEP THOUGHTS...not by Jack Handy

Can Amish people play with low deflection shafts? If the bridge is closed why can we still use it? Why do they call it "weight"? Shouldn't it be called "bait". Why aren't poolhalls called dens of equity instead of iniquity. If the 4 ball could go from purple to pink why couldn't the 8 ball...

    Question- about AZ's PG rating

The Moderators are censoring threads and posts constantly pulling them. Would it be a good idea to have an "adult" section where there is no censorship of any kind sort a kinda " gloves off section". Food for thought because alot of AZ'rs spent their time in poolhalls and bars. Not excactly...

Problem with the Game I love-Pool

In many, many other sports and other games you get to see how everyone performs. Like in darts both players throw 3 darts alternating turns and one person may win by 1 dart but you see if both are masters. Or golf everyone plays all holes but best score wins and you see how everyone performs...

An honest question for the Moderators

On one of the other threads one of the moderators typed. "Who is going to be the first to get banned? Keep it up....." Which you and I know wasn't a threat because that would have broken one of the rules it had to be a Warning I'm sure.. not a threat But it got me to thinking about the 3...

    Phenolic tip ban (question) ?

Is there a thickness that the leather tip has to be. Can a very thin layer of leather be pulled across the phenolic tip and glued? Once it drys the excess trimmed away. So this way leather touches the cueball at impact but you still get the same basic hit as phenolic. I'd love to test this...

    Cuemakers thoughts (bumpers)

When I was researching to have my custom cue made. I looked at alot of cues covering all aspects much like "consumer reports". One observation I made was during my bumper check. I would tip the cue till the butt sleeve touched. Some cues would go to 30 degrees some 60 and so on. Many expensive...

Why not a "bounty" format in pool

Why not have pool use the bounty system poker uses for its tourney's. For instance if you had a $10 entry fee for the tourney and a $5 bounty The entry fee could pay just 1st and 2nd Let the bounty handle paying out all the lower places Seems like it would make alot more people happier week to...

    If the Riv goes down

Maybe BCA, APA, Valley and the rest could stike a deal with one of the Biloxi casinos and bring pool back east for a while. Sure it would be much cheaper for the leagues to host Which I'm sure they would return their saving to the players......HAHAHAHA I KILL ME

Women in the open.. Other side of the coin

I think its awsome if they let women in the US OPEN. Because it would only be fair to start letting men into the women events. Finally I won't have to get a sex change operation to get some T.V. exposer or make some cash Whats good for the goose is good for the GANDER Lawyers from across the...

    Roll or Low Pecentage Shot

In the tournament last night a friend and a very good player made a great kick and the ball went in. I commented on the nice kick but I was frustrated because the ball happened to go in and made a comment about the lucky roll. He was upset saying he lined up for that shot that it may have been a...
