So why was the Derby 9ball race changed from 7 to 9 again?

Killed? 2 games more doesn't change the game that much. sheeesh

Lining up center cue ball and dominant eye

I should rephrase that. It makes it tough to execute a proper shot with loads of right when I naturally line up with some left. It's an important detail that the bit of left I line up with is back-hand. So in order to get right my set up changes more than if I need some left, as it's closer to...

Lining up center cue ball and dominant eye

I mean it makes sense that it isn't the most ideal. Not that there is anything wrong with some back-hand english. Just that I'd assume symmetry is important. So the fact that with left english I don't need any and with right english I need a fair amount of back-hand probably isn't good. I guess...

Lining up center cue ball and dominant eye

Absolutely. Very tough to get lots of right which I then compensate for with back hand english and consequently my fundamentals fly out the window.

Lining up center cue ball and dominant eye

Yup...left eye dominant and I definitely line up with left inadvertently. Have done it for so long I've compensated rather well, but I'm sure it costs me at times.

Standard rules of 9 ball 50 years ago?

Strategies and tactics are synonyms. I'm assuming you mean that the game today is more shot making? It would be cool to see which pros today might fare better with these rules and which would struggle.

    How about them BRONCOS!!

So what sport gets it right then if MLB does it wrong too. The NBA and NHL give the first 3 seeds to the division winners and allocates the last 5 spots only by points regardless of division. Frequently the 4th and sometimes even 5th seed has a better record than the 3rd seed but that's just how...

US Open 9 ball vs. US Open 10 ball

Personally, I'm already more interested in the 10 ball US Open. There were so many good players missing at this Open. Not to say I don't love seeing some relative no names beating big name pro's but the 10 ball Open is so much more deep. Not the same without the whole Filipino crowd.

TAR 22: Earl Strickland vs Shane Van Boening. December 2,3,4 in the TAR Studio

What you said was races to 100 hundred are overkill...that's pretty straight forward to understand. And based on some of the best match ups I've ever seen, saying it's overkill is ignorant.

TAR 22: Earl Strickland vs Shane Van Boening. December 2,3,4 in the TAR Studio

It seems you are assuming that Player A has a 55% chance of winning a single game in your math that Player A wins a race to 30 95% of the time. That is much different than a 55% chance of winning a race to a hundred for instance. Of course if Player A has a 55% percent chance of winning a single...

Do yu take as much time to play a safe shot as you do an easy shot?

I personally believe the only variable that changes the time per shot is in the shot deciding and planning stage. Other than that, no matter what the shot is, once I know what shot I'm hitting my pre-shot routine and executing is the same time wise.

    ABP boycotts Berhman's event

Where have you found these statistics Jay? I'd be curious to see as I've heard he is STILL a major impact on ratings.

    Just some shots

What Neil said... How the spin effects the shot has nothing or almost nothing to do with the contact of the CB and OB. It's all about how it changes the path of the CB.

How do you pick a new cue without hitting them?

Seems tough.. I wish there was some chart of all production cues and some of the more popular customs and compared and contrasted some of the characteristics.

How do you pick a new cue without hitting them?

How do you go about picking a new cue when you are in a not to densely populated area. It's extremely hard to find many different cues to hit and try out so getting a new cue for me is a total buy and hope.

    10 ball rules

I may not exactly understand what part doesn't make sense but the rules make sense to me. I am a bit surprised they bother with a safety section in the rules though. There really is no reason you should have to call safe since if you do slop a ball in, the opponent has option. To me, besides...
