Does anyone know the pin size that Schuler used, I'm guessing 5/16×14. But that's a guess. Thanks in advance.

    No more Sands.

Just saw on the news that the Sands Regency in reno is now J's resort. Kinda sad to see the Sands go but it was a dump. The new casino resort looks much nicer. This area of reno needs some renewal.

    9 ball rule ?

When playing 9 ball on the spot and during the course of the game the 9 ball is pocketed after a bad hit. Of course the 9 gets spotted but where? On the spot or where the 1 was racked?

    Performance shaft ?

:wink:I purchased a Jeff Puvis cue a few months ago . It is a 60" cue. When I shoot a firm shot using extreme english the shaft really vibrates. No rattle or anything just the annoying vibration. This is my first 60" cue and thought that may be the problem but I've since shot with some others...

Was wondering if there are certain shots you should try out with a cue you are thinking of buying or if you just shoot random shots to get a feel for it?

How I cleaned very dirty cloth

I'm not necessarily recommending this process for everyone but it worked well for me. I have had Simonis 860hr on my table for 4-5 years. Approx 1-2 hrs play daily. I've done the normal cleaning, (probably not as often as I should) once every couple of weeks I would vacuum then wipe down with a...

    Tagua nut, ivory substitute?

I was looking through an art gallery today and noticed some carvings that looked a lot like ivory. They were decent sized, definately large enough for a ferrule, some look big enough for joints. Has anybody heard of this or tried it? Doesn't look too expensive. It did seem a little lighter...

    Big fish little pond... dilemma

I live in a rural area, about 2 1/2 hrs from the closest pool hall. I have my own pool table that I practice on daily. Occasionally I have a couple of buddies over to play and have a few adult beverages, I enjoy this but it only happens about once every couple of months due to work...

    Patriotic cues?

With the 4th of July just around the corner, I was wondering if anyone has a patriotic themed cue. Now I'm not talking about a red white and blue department store Budweiser cue, rather a custom cue. I think there could be some interesting possibilities.

    Mental process

I was wondering the other day if anyone has ever written a flow chart showing the mental process of a high level pool player? What he looks at and decides on any given shot. I'm not an expert on flow charts but I'm sure some of you out there have some proficiency in that area, I'm sure there...

    Chuck Markulis tourney?

Was wondering if anyone knows when this tournament at Hard Times in Sacramento is going to be held? I haven't seen anything posted on it. Seems like it's usually around this time of year. Perhaps they're waiting on the usbtc to announce they're official date... Thanks

A quick question... A local mechanic said that you can't use bondo on slates that had previously had been seamed with bee's wax, said it wouldn't adhere. Any comments?

    type of glue?

I have a cuetec jump/break cue, the phenolic tip popped off, I tried to glue it back on with gorilla super glue. It lasted about a month then popped off again. A friend of mine said he had similar problems when trying to glue on a phenolic tip. Any suggestions?

    koa wood?

I was wondering if anybody uses Hawaiian Koa wood for cue building. It's a beautiful wood but not as available as it once was. I have never seen a cue made with this, if anyone has photos of any I'd love to see them.

    venom

Just saw Venom doing some trick shots on MSN's home page! Nice to see pool related news on some mainstream media. Other than Mike Massey's finger pool, Venom is the only trick shot artist I enjoy watching, amazing stuff! Would have attached a link but I'm on my phone and not sure how...
