I used indoor/outdoor hybrid carpet without padding. It works great. That kind of carpet is made with moisture barrier properties. I covered an 15x19 space for roughly $ 170 Also taped it down with double sided carpet tape.

I have used a razor blade before to get the tip flush. However I'm comfortable using bits to get the tip flush. My "lathe thingy" is dialed in perfect. Also I like to trim the tip towards the ferrule not away from it with a razor blade. Either way works. I just do it my way. Believe it or not...

A RH tool bit is a type of tool used in a lathe. If you own or have ever seen a lathe with a tool bit in the tool post you would know what I mean. :grin-square:

Does anyone have an example of an accurate way to mark the cross at the foot spot for racking and the breaking area "kitchen" line.

Goin to put a tip on my Ob-2 shaft later in the week. Just wondering what is the best product to clean the spiral hard rock maple ferrule that comes on the shaft. Anyone had issues with these types of ferrule with various cleaning products? I usually use 99% Alcohol and a ME sponge.
