No excuses, no BS just snooker. I also have a perfect 9' Diamond as well. No excuses I have the perfect place to play no distractions.

just some more of my thoughts
i think im 80% fav at long race at 8 ball
i think im 60 fav at 9 ball
10 ball i never played but with a week in philipines which is were ill go before playing john i fancy being at worst 55% fav
maybe staright pool is 50 50 cause he is apparently so good but to be truthful i really dont think he is top class like alot of other pros i have seen and i only ever saw him play a few frames on mosconi cup and to me he looked like a twitcher and under under pressure he will fold most of the time.

This match needs to be played in public, because it's an official challenge here with all the fans and players keeping track & getting in on the insults. Quinten said his peace and agreed to some terms, and has confirmed he's game. He already said everything he needs to say, and has proved he's got some testicles and some resolve here. He's given as much commitment as he needs to give, considering this is informal and done through an online forum and not in person. As it stands, he is putting up a little cash to reserve the agreement through TAR, he just needs a thumbs up from John who as already talked enough smack, and has already said he'd be willing to match up. Now John just needs to nut up and commit himself to the match, the same way Quinten has, so we can have at it officially. What do you say John? How about coming to terms, and splitting the agreement with Quinten? Through TAR, you two will be playing 8-ball for 30K? Forget rotation or snooker or any of that crap. Quinten has agreed to 8-ball, the 30k, some 4-5 months from now, with a deposit down to make it official. Are you up to the challenge Mr. 400? I hope so John because I admire your game and your character, and you're one of my favorite voices in pool and I think you can handle this challenge. The U.S. Open Champion against the brash and banned cue artist from Australia, who now represents the UK. This is all you John! Time to make it happen buddy!
Cuephoric said:Screw it.... Throw out a 10 foot table and play nineball.
If that isn't about the middle of the road i don't know what is.
Both give up half that way.
John is supposed to win in nineball on a 9 foot, Hann is supposed to be better on a big table.
Hann gives up two feet of shooting room, john gives up the nine foot advantage.
Both are great shooters, and regardless of the game, if you gave me four or five months to "learn" a game at their level, I'd be faking it,too.
At this stage of the game, it's not about who has the bigger jimmy, it's who wants to hold onto what they are the best at until the last minute to show what they really have.
1 Anniversary table.
Three sets of rails.
They can play carom, snooker, straight pol, 9ball whatever.....
Somebody start racking.
RunOut_PP said:Choice of game imo should be a mix of 8-ball, 10-ball and straight. I?ve been wondering for years how a top snooker player would perform in straight pool, given the chance to get used to the game. My guess is that they would need a little time to master the break- and keyball patterns but as soon as they get the hang of it they would definitely be scoring big time.
9-ball would be silly as there is too much emphasis on the break.
If your not there then who will be the host?Fatboy said:no you cant forget the mansion, i have the perfect enviorment, just because i cant spell dosent mean I dont know my chit. I could with the players permission invite upto 10 people to come watch, I dont want to crowd the room or have a zillion people over and besides we'll have video. I know John and consider him a friend, I dont know him well but I know him, the other player I dont know but thats cool. The offer stands. I wont be in attendance-I'll watch the video.
bignasty said:why dont you both send me a deposit and we will have our selves a lil challenge match! on the pool table of course, i think i can control both parties involved! nobody has to worry about anything off the table just let your cues do the talking! im sure we can make a game! i mean you want jon on the table quinten and john i know you want him on the table so lets get the ball really rolling!pm me if your interested quinten!![]()
ccshrimper said:I know several pool players that hate 8-ball and apparently John is one of them so why in the world would he play a game he hates for $30k? If Hann thinks American pool players stink so bad play SVB some 8 ball and see how he likes it.
8-ball on a big table is way too easy of a game IMO, it takes out all of the defense, kicking, stroke shots, breaking etc... that 9-ball requires. I liked the idea of them playing on a 10' table 9-ball but I also think 10-ball or even 12 ball would be fun to watch.
