Legendary " Little " Joe Villalpando takes you into his 50 years of pool
playing experience .

I wanted to write this thread to thank Joe for all the help he has been and
to let other know about Joe and his DVD's if they didn't already know .
In my opinion the two DVD's that Joe has out are very helpful and packed with knowledge
that is explained in an easy to understand manner . Joe has a great love for pool and teaching this is very apparent when talking to him or taking lesson .

Joe's First DVD covers kick shots explaing how easy it is to learn where your cue ball is going on all kick shots . Joe utilizes his clock system , along with simple graphs and assistance from the Behnke family .

Joe's Second DVD covers cue ball control . He covers a wide use of tangent lines , along with his clock system in order to give you the knowledge on how to control your cue ball
with each shot .

Other than these two DVD's Joe offers private lessons and can be contacted at www.pooliq.net or here on azb by sending a pm to littlejoev
.

" Pool is a game of kwoledge . It doesn't matter weather you'r age 11 or age 60+ like myself , knowledge is the key to pool . That is what I will show you today . "

I got a preview of the stuff he will reveal in DVD#3 and you won't want to miss it!

Great knowledge and a great personality for an instructor

Joe has a tremendous amount of knowledge and a great personality for an instructor. This shows very plainly in the DVD's and in the hours I have spent on the phone with him. There are some great instructors out there that I know it would be a battle to learn from simply because their personality grates. Joe has seemed like an old friend from the first time he said hello. Barring something unforeseen, I will get together with Joe, it is just a matter of when because of the distance between us.

Adam "Sleeve" Behnke is proving the value of Joe's instruction right now in Reno and the past accomplishments of the Behnke family leave no doubt Joe is the real deal. If I remember correctly his younger brother went to the hotseat in his division at the last Jr Nationals unbeaten before losing to Landon Shuffett in the final.

The DVD's are very high quality, well produced, and have the information that it took me many years to learn the hard way. I'm glad the DVD's are out there but at the same time there is a little twinge in me that says it isn't fair that a few dollars buys what I spent the hours and dollars that could have earned a master's degree at a university to learn.

This is of course my totally biased opinion. I like Joe.

I have both of these video's and I would highly recommend these to anyone.

Joe makes the concepts he is teaching in the video's very easy to understand and the graphics in the video are great.

Waiting for the 3rd video :)

Nice Post Thank You Sir .

I was already a pretty solid player with a 7 rack run in nine ball
being my best and still is but what I am saying is I was already a solid player and I was just guessing with a good idea on where the cue ball was going . After working with Joe many hour I no longer have to guess I know what 6 o clock third circle does or 12 o clock first circle . I also have a greater understanding of what tangent lines are and how to determine how far off of tangent I need for shape and just how to get there.

This being said i am like every other non champion I have my fair share of greyhound in me and commit more than my share of unforced error's :frown: This is what I am working on everyday and with each flaw I eliminate my game improves .

Thanks again to " Little " Joe !!!

Larry

Joe's videos are terrific

I have both of Joe's dvds too and I have to say they are absolutely terrific. Joe has always been one of my favorite players who has a wealth of knowledge second to none. A great buy for all who aspire to be better players.

Little JoeV

I learned a LOT about how to compete from hanging out with LIttle Joe V. Joe was the first person who taught me how to win.

It's how I roll.

Joey,

Never gave it any thought but y'all both have that smooth soft spoken southern style. A lot of class too.

I don't know if that is just coincidence or not but when I think about it there is definitely a resemblance.

Thanks for the heads up. Joe is a great guy, and so are the Behnke's.

I'm proud to know know both Joe and the Behnke family!!!! I met Joe in 88 in LA, we reconnected in Sacramento and he taught me a bit about hustling bars(I wish I would have stayed on the road with him, not going is my biggest regret in pool, we were a great team, of course he playes much stronger than me-but we had good chemistry).

I recommend his videos to EVERYONE!!!!!

Joe has been a friend from the first moment we met. He's like that.

His pool knowledge is second to none and he knows how to get it across. The Behnke kids are his proteges. That ought to say it all. Great kids and champion pool players and Joe is a driving force with them.

Just so everyone knows that is NOT Joe Villalpando the pool instructor preaching in that video ! He may have the same name but that's not the Joe we are talking about here .

Larry

It was a joke, and I thought it was pretty funny. I know who Little Joe Villalpando is, and I do have his 2 instructional videos. He has some great kicking systems, very useful information on the tangent line, and a great 3 dimensional clock system for lack of a better term.

was funny!

You know who Joe is but some others that don't know who he is or what he looks like may actually think that is him preaching . I just wanted to make sure others know that wasn't the Joe we were talking about in your video .

That was funny when I know what Joe looks like and sounds like. It could hurt Joe's video sales if somebody that didn't know better thought it was really him though. I watched a preview of some highly recommended pool DVD's and the voice-over sounded to me exactly like that superior patronizing voice-over talking to children that came with the educational slide shows they played in school when I was a kid.

I wanted to buy those DVD's and still might but now I know that listening to them will be painful, at least for me. I put away the credit card. Others may find those DVD's sound entirely different to them and the information is reported to be great. I'm just pointing out the harm it could do if some think Brother Joe Villalpando and Little Joe Villalpando are one and the same. Joe's presentation is one of the major reasons I like his DVD's and feel sure he would be great to work with one on one.
