This past weekend - Midwest 9 Ball Tour made it's way to the St Louis area for a bar table tournament at The Break Billiards in Cahokia Illinois.

Race to 9 - Alternate Break - Rack Your Own - Valley Bar Tables

AZ's own KlockDoc finished 5th in the event.

But the bigger news is that on Sunday, in his second match of the day on the winner's side - KlockDoc knocked out the king of the bar table Jesse Bowman 9-2.....and that is not a typo.

Previously, KlockDoc has stepped up and beat another AZer from Indiana 9-7, after being down 5-2 in that match. I'll let that AZer step up and state who he was.

Congrats old man!!!!! :p

Final Results
5/6 - KlockDoc (Mike Werner), Bobby Dickerson Jr
4 - Chuck Ralston
3 - Andy Quinn
2 - Brian Groce
1 - Jamie Baraks

It was great to see Brian Groce make a return to the tournament trail. He was hitting em crisp on Saturday when I watched.

knock knock

who's there?

Klock

Klock??? Oh F**k! The one who klocked Bowman 9-2? I gotta go home and cut the grass. Later. Enjoy the Sahara. ;)

Quite the ass whooping KDoc! Congrats!

Yep - to the list you can add Jessie (already mentioned), Chad Vilmont, Bobby Hunter and I am sure I am missing a few more. More than a handful of capable local players - Jerry Terbrock, Will Freeman, Randy Enlow, Jay Petlon, ..........Justin Bergman was MIA (I heard he was wasting his time down in Bowling Green being steered by bad information).

For a $35 entry fee, I have donated my fair share in these events.

There were also some great cuemakers in the house - Jim Buss, Bobby Hunter, Travis (Blackcreek), QB Cues (Kenny), Mike Bender......Doug Patrick was home being a good dad.

Congratulations Mike, I hadn't heard the news yet!
I'm not to surprised though, you were hitting them pretty sporty last week on the 9 footer when we were practicing!
In fact...I'm not sure I remember you missing a ball for like the last hour! lol

watchez...Good to hear that Jay Petlon is playing well! I had an opportunity to work with him a few years ago! Do you think Justin had a lock to win, if he had been there? :D

Jay is one of the most talented all around athletes I know.

Justin surely was no lock but the travel expenses would have been a lot cheaper - and he actually might have gotten some action instead of a waste of time.

I mentioned to Jay about the Missouri State 8 Ball bar box tourney in November. He may be able to add that to his resume of Missouri State Championships. He definitely is a contender.

Thank you for the post Watchez. It felt real good with those wins. A great tournament. I picked up a few things playing that I had forgotten. You always learn from the better players.

The player I played before Jesse was a great player. He simply got out from everywhere. Simple position, but great shot making ability. Got that adrenaline flowing and the desire to play just as good. It worked out. I just hung in there and took it one game at a time.

Jesse only made two mistakes that I can remember. The other shots he had just happened to be kicks. It was just one of those games. I had the opportunity and I happened to play well. Especially since it was alternate break!
(of course, getting the majority of the rolls always helps). :D

You are right. $35.00 is a cheap price to pay to be able to compete against some of the best players around that area. Guess I won't go cheap again in the next calcutta. :D

>>>> Hey, if you need the time on your joint protectors synchronized, let me know. :D:D:D
