Texas Open 9-Ball Championships $4,000 Added Labor Day!! Sept 4-7th

Bartrum won the Open?? What time did it end?? This is the first time I've played the T.O. and it was truly one of the best and funnest events I've been to....even if it is one of the longest grinds you'll encounter. :D

And a big congrats to Amanda!!!! You played superb chica!!

I quit watching after the hot seat match and it was 3 am! Big :thumbup: to Ray and all his helpers for the streaming and fabulous commentating. I didn't see any matches in person, but from the comments I have heard it sounds like the Wellings and TD's did a great job. I hope everyone made it home safely.

when i got up this morning for work at 6 AM they had just barely started the second set between bartrum and justin hall. congrats to justin also for a wonderful tournament...bartrum had to double dip him to win the whole thing!
 
I have to agree with the comments about Ray's stream. He was truly the biggest grinder of the weekend by putting in all those hours to stream the event.

Ray, thanks for letting me commentate with you and Ashley....even if it's not as easy as it looks. LOL.

Ashley did GREAT on the stream! She was a natural at it! It was good to hear Juan as well on there when he got on late Sunday. I also heard compliments about Sylver Ochoa's commentating as well - they were saying getting into a pro's mind about how he would shoot different shots when he commentated on some of the matches was awesome.

I also want to give a big shout out to AZer SAMIEL!!! He updated the brackets ALL weekend for us via his iphone. He was updating the brackets after each match was done and it was awesome for the fans following online to see the scores and results right away. Thank you, Viet!!!! It's not an easy task and we appreciate it so much!

Just got home after dropping off my road partner. I've been awake since 7:30am yesterday. Time to sleep!

Not to thread bump so much, but I wanted to thank G-Cue and Gary and the staff for all of their hard work this weekend. The place was much cooler than last year and it definitely made it more enjoyable. Everyone working was great!

Also a big thank you to Bigtruck for running the live stream. This guy must have put in about 80 hours over the weekend somehow. Thank you to OB Cues for their title sponsorship and all the other contributors (Bigtruck can list them since I don't remember them all).

Finally, a big thank you to Lewis and Paul for their hard work and long hours as the TDs. They don't get enough credit!

I had a great time!

Great week-end by everyone and for everyone. Wonderful upgrade on equipment Ray and a yeoman's effort all weekend. Lots of contributors and a great line up of players. Good TD's, Great host--Has to rank high for one of the most exciting and best run events anywhere.:cool:

yes viet you do rock!.......great job to all you guys plus GCues Billiards for being such gracious hosts! wow 8 o'clock huh.....what a tournament.....can't say enough good things about ray and the stream....definitely a lot of work which started friday around noon....:thumbup:....thumbs up to all you guys!!

As Samiel stated, a big thanks to G Cue for the cooler A/C this year. Your staff was also excellent throughout the event. It was good to see Gary (the owner) there as well b/c he did have that stroke earlier this year.

Ray did an awesome job with the stream and with OB Cues as the title sponsor, we all were able to watch it free online all weekend!!

Again, a BIG thanks to Samiel for getting the brackets updated after every match for the whole event. It's not easy to do and I appreciated his help so much for that!! You rock, Samiel!!

And to Lewis and Paul for pulling off another great tournament - thank you for your tireless efforts, guys!
 
I also want to thank everyone who help make this tournament a GREAT SUCCESS! I had a great time and learned a lot this weekend.

I especially want to thank Samiel "V", for letting be his roomate. He did a great job on the brackets, everytime i was looking for him he had his eyes on the iphone updating brackets.

God willing C uall next year.
 
also want to throw in a special shoutout for Paul Blank....the texas open was his last tournament....I want to thank him for what he has brought to texas pool and wish him well in his retirement....we are all going to miss him!!!!!
 
props to ray for the live streaming, and to lewis and paul..as well as the winners!! galveston should be interesting :D :D
