OB Cues Presents TAR 17: Mills vs Van Boening

Awesome! I just happen to be in Tampa from Nov. 5-9, save me a seat, Justin!

This should be a great match up; Shane has been a dominant force the past couple of years, gambling with all comers and he's playing Donny, who is playing 9 ball as good as anyone can play, right now. The kicker is that they are playing 9 ball, rack your own, which is supposedly Donny's best game, in Donny's favorite room. This one is gonna be a barnburner.

Donny looks like he's ready to kick some ass in that picture.

That's right. I was talking to some other pool guys down here in New Orleans and Donny has a lot more of a "killer" look than Shane. Shane is deadly on the table but Donny kind of reminds me of Dennis Hatch with his pool table demeanor.

I thought Hammerheads was his favorite room. Did it change hands?-So many poolrooms on rte 19 up there.

We'll have to ask Donny to chime in. I know he hits a few in the area i.e. Strokers, Crooked Cue, etc.

Are you going, Nostroke?

Great! I just wished it was Fri. and Sat. so I could go. But I will be watching. I like Shane's chances if he can adjust to Donny's style. If not it could be a long match for Shane.

Hitting the road early Sunday Morning to catch the second half in person. Since the check in at the hotel probably wont be until later in the day, we should be able to find a golf course in that area and meet up for a quick 18, if not Sunday, then Monday. Anyone in that knows the area?
PS
Not looking to spend too much on a round.

Not sure on the price but it's right down the street from the poolhall that they are going to be playing at, beautiful course!

There are more courses if you do a google search for Clearwater golf courses.

JCIN, you always seem to come through with great matches! Should be a lot of fun to watch!

As for the match, I always bet on Shane:) I find it really hard not to bet on the champ!

Thanks again TAR!!

I think i will as long as im feeling decent.

I just talked to a guy from up that way. He said Donny's room is
Family Billiards somethingorother. Rest assured from experience there will ne NO families there.

He said he'd never even heard of the Crooked Cue but he is from Spring Hill (Capone's territory) which is probably 35 mi North. Have u been to Capone's? A definite must see if you are up that way Eric. Maybe I'll see you at the CC on the last day..

What do you think he might have trouble adjusting to?

hi jcin, a question not yet asked is about your format. i noticed you asked some questions yourself at the open ppv. are you still gonna use the avw viewer or are you tryin somethin else? i thought avw was gonna change thier stuff. did they do that yet also? anyway it looks to be another good show. i'll be there unless i last a while in the joss event in utica nov.7-8.
just down the road so gotta go and play some. ttl.

I am going to try the separate chat function like Accu-Stats did. I am going to contact Ustream and see if we can work something out so I can use the chat room there without violating TOS.

If I can get it set up in time we will do a test run on the Pacquiao event this Sunday and see how everyone likes it.

hi jcin, what was it that you are not satisfied with? i'm a little confused. i was thinking the main problem you may have is the size and functions of the viewer. that is where i have the most problem with your show because unless you go full screen it is very hard to work with the small viewer. zooming and draging was a drag.lol but don't get me wrong i love your shows and i am just wondering. the wmp is so easy to resize that i can't help like that one better, but may not understand all the drawbacks that go with it on your side of the fence. the chat is another thing and either one of the chats used seemed ok to me. whether it is the addon chat or avw chat or even the ustream chat seems to be minor problem than the viewer, imho. but its nice to have both viewer and chat. just friendly feedback, ttl

I've been playing at crooked cue since they opened up about a year ago. I started playing at family billiards about 15 years ago, and then in 2007 I played at hammerheads a lot.
