I coudn't believe Donnie Mills break, a soft break and he made the wing ball everytime, I wish I knew how to do that !! ED

Not entirely accurate...

HE had 83 breaks and made eighty two of them. The five rattled around 72 or 73...

Yea , but I just can't believe he made a ball 82 of those breaks, it ended 83 to 100,, way to go Svb.. Both guys played great saturday, but Shane couldn't put it together today till he started breaking the balls like he knows how, then it all came together, he played like a machine ,< ED

They both played really good. The score is not indicative of how well Donny played. he had Shane on the ropes yesterday and at for half the day today. When Shane wernt to his hard break, it all turned around.

Donny will be back with a vengence!!!!!!

Theres gonna be so much negative stuff on here about each guy I can see it starting already,, my point was that is a hell of a feat to be able to pocket a ball on that many breaks everytime !! ,,ED

To make a perfect rack everytime, the cloth must be "trained" - on the Sardo they used to do this and each ball makes an impression in the cloth in exactly the same place. When these exact dents are made, and the rack is placed in exactly the right spot, the same perfect rack can me made time after time. Once that happens, the wing ball can be made time after time.

I don't klnow for sure, but that's all I can figure out that makes sense to me - I've not quite seen anything like it.

Seems like it would make the game a bit boring if a player could get the wing ball at 99% consistance. That would just end 9 ball fun for me! Just my opinion .. wouldn't like seeing players shut out just due to ones breaking skill, however I can see how its fair and tough luck, but for viewers sake not as fun.

but hey you all watched and loved it so im prob wrong! who knows

It basically goes like this, and I think Billy Incardona or Grady Matthews said it on an Accu-Stats tape, (after the break) "The balls have taken their place on the table.......if the balls are racked the same way and you break them the same way it's only understandable that they pretty much go to the same areas of the table." In my opinion if they are racking using one of those plastic sheets then it wouldn't surprise me one bit if someone made the wing ball on the break 100 out of 100 times.

As for 9-ball not being fun....it's not. It's one of the only games where you can shoot really good and still lose the match by someone else's mistake. Straight pool, now there's a game where luck hardly ever comes into it.
