Busty vs Bartram, 10 ball, live now TAR

I think Chris had a lot of heart playing Django. Chris stepped up and played someone with as much firepower as anyone on planet earth. He came up short, but it speaks to Chris's character the fact he stepped into the box at all.

Some guys were dogging Chris in the chat like he got tore a new a-hole, this and that, etc.... but the guys who said that wouldn't step into the box with a cub scout trying to earn his pool badge.

yep

Chris does get credit for having the cajones to match up with one of the world's best professionals. Yes, it was typical chickensh*t yakking of those who wouldn't step up themselves....

There's a $9000 lesson to be learned here: Unless you're on top of the food chain, gambling is not the path to riches that some people may think it is.

what gamble?

much respect for CB's gamble.

hah, hah, hah, Bartam, you're such a sucker!!!

Django could have given you much more spot than you got and he would still have beaten you. He watched your pitiful games and shotmaking and he already knew what spot to give you to take the bait.

You took it hook, line and sinker, hah, hah, hah...

So, would you play Chris with 3 on the wire?

cool post, chief.

Dfwtp!!!

xianmacx,

You should have seen when Alcano played Bartram last year at Cuemaster in Norfolk.. The score was not that far off but enough so that Alcano would have to fall asleep for Bartram to catch up.

My point is, those are calculated scores to keep your opponent to keep trying.

Same goes with Django, he knows that he will outrun the nuts that he was giving out to those guys.

Alex is the best among these guys in giving out handicaps and he usually will come out of with the most outlandish handicaps and still win. Case in point, he used to give Watson the 7 and last three, while he was robbing him.

Late 90's, Efren played one of those European champions 8 ball in Norfolk, even game with a spot: race to 11, 8 games on the wire. Efren beat the dude three sets with the guy winning one game per set. Now, that was a monster handicap!!!

Lesson learned: DFWTP!!!

I caught the last two sets, and while Bartram clearly played under his speed, Busty had a lot to do with it. I think I remember Bustamante missing one shot in those two sets, and he won almost every safety battle.

Kudos to Chris for getting in the box with a grizzly bear. He'll get nothing but better for the experience - that's the kinda heart he's got.
And taps for Bustamante. He's still a force of nature that will not be denied the respect he's due.

so i am guessing you're playing top players for ten grand of your own money all the time and coming out on top? or maybe you're just an uber nit nocking a guy who has more heart that you have class.

No no, he is Phillipino, which means that he is super tight with any Phillipino players and can act like he had some sort of impact on the fact that Busty won this match-up. Just like because I am American, me and SVB are super cool and I can take all credit for him beating Efren last DCC.

I really have to give credit to Bartram for playing these top players for big money. He's going to get better the more he plays them. I was impressed with some of his safeties in the last set.

I was coming off a session where...

I was coming off a session where I was a little doggy for the cash (I won anyway) and was mentioning it to one of the better money players in Philly. He said, "Everyone misses shots for the cash. The dog is the guy who never gets up there".

btw...I'm not implying there was any dogging it. I watched most of the match.

Am I the only one that saw all of the sick rolls Busty got in the 2nd set? I missed the first set but the rolls in the 2nd were the back breaker, IMO.....
