Burl cues and blanks

maple burl

cue in progress using the walnut piece and brighter second from the top maple burl piece. thought the top spalted burl was interesting but not as nice and classic as the more plain one.

It's been a busy week.

This one may not qualify as a burl...but it has all the figure of burlwood. Pete Ohman seems to come up with the best quilt maple. Here is the platform for a couple box cues he has in the works for me.

Flyingsnail, where did you get this wood? other than the quilted maple, what are the woods? are u selling them? are they stabalized?
 
Looks like Kenny's got Honduran Rosewood Burl, Fiddleback Walnut Burl, Redwood Lace Burl, Quilted Maple, and perhaps Madrone. I'm sure he'll let you know.

troy's cue's are top notch,i had and ebony and purple heart gem from him i sold..kinda want it back
