Only question I really have is,,,,is it correct to take BIH after the break? This is how I have been doing it in 8 ball and 9 ball.
Seems very tough if no BIH. Casper don't say much and never breaks!!! Are their any other rules??

Have you ever had the debate on which game is tougher,,8 or 9 ball? Play the Ghost ,,,,and it won't take long at all to find an answer to which is easier/tougher. I do believe this changes when their is a shooting opponent.
But from the break,,,,hmmmmm??

I also noticed , while playing the ghost, if you are concentrating hard to beat em and in total focus. There might be a word or two for casper but not quite a conversation!! lol Or is that just me???

U need to get the ghost to post prior to playing, that guy plays like a maniac, he always gets out and he never pays off.

The Ghost = Tough Action

I'd beat the ghost more often if he didn't play such great safeties on me all the time!

The conventional way to play the ghost is with BIH after the break. When and if that gets too easy for you, then play him with no BIH. If you can do that, and win regularly, you are wasting your time with the ghost, go find a rich guy to play.;)

yep! yep! yep!

If you can beat the 9-ball ghost, you play his bigger brother the 10-ball ghost, or if you can't beat him then try his younger siblings, the 7, 6, and 5-ball ghost.

I was about to ask him for a spot the other day coz be has been schooling me as of late. In fact, I was gonna ask for a spot after I lost the first game of a race to 5.

Proceeedeed to beat him 15 in a row.

Take that, you dim biatch!

You can play any rules you want, the ghost is amiable! Start w/BIH, then move to BIH behind the line, then no BIH. You can make up stuff to switch things up... It's just practice.

Going to 10-ball or reducing the amount of balls is good stuff, helps you find your level of play, too. The most I've seen is 12 ball for some cheese @ DCC some years ago (not sure of the outcome).

One other reason I was asking on how this is played or what rules are. Well,,, as someone stated,,its practice so the rules are negotiable, but I have heard of late,, that there are people gambling on this, in my area.
Playing the ghost in a race to 5,,,,,,lol. Holy chit!!! I say!!! Not sure what rules they use,,,,or odds,,,,,,but that is a tough bet to take on!!!

This can be a very interesting gamble especially when everyone in the pool room are too scared to match up with eachother.

You won't find many B players taking on this proposition, that's for sure. I've seen it gambled on, in recent years.

I beat the ghost last night in a race to 25 playing 9ball. He gave me 24 games on the wire tho...I think his name was casper, yeah that's it! casper the friendly ghost.
