A mind is a terrible thing.

Don't put too much emphasis in what you did over what it helped you accomplish. It made you trust your action. A crutch will only get you so far, eventually you must walk on your own.

I'm not sure exactly what happened?
It just did.
Maybe all fear was gone? I should have missed?
Maybe I just could not make any more fine tuning when I was down?
Maybe it would make no sense to jump up and out of the shot?
Maybe I am just tired of losing and didn't give a crap ?
All of the above?
I don't know.

Hammer Time

Almost time for my usual Friday afternoon beating. lol. I lost the last 6 weeks straight.
I scattered a rack of balls out yesterday and closed my eyes before my back stroke. Missed 2 tough shots. 1 table length draw and 1 with high inside that I think I over cut. This is an improvement!
I think I will play my match this way today?
I don't think it can hurt at this point? My brain is toast.
Thoughts?

This happens to everyone, you aren't "unique", don't beat yourself up, there is a solution:bash:....go get a hammer and drive 10 nails as cleaning and precisely as you can...then pick up your cue, hold the cue like you held the hammer and feel the same sensation in your hand....hold the hammer in more in your fingers, but hard enough to feel the hammer and the centrifical force used to hammer the nails....Hammer 5 more nails.....feel that in your cue....feel the same wrist motion, as if you were hammering nails with your cue.....now go find a table and use this same motion, AND put your left foot (if you're right handed) DIRECTLY PARALLEL TO YOUR CUE STICK......that means you'll probably turn your toe more to the left....if you can't do this move your foot more to the left UNTIL YOU CAN....now shoot some balls and feel what you did with the hammer....feel the cue accelerate through the ball...don't worry about making the shots, it may be better to JUST SHOOT straight in shots that you can make....:idea:FEEL THE DIFFERENCE and let me know what happened! ;)
