The document of our pool related road trip across the U.S. updated daily

a batle between 2 instructors ? hmm. my money is on lee.

I'm always looking for a good game.

Lee is a gentleman to play. it would be fun for sure.

Might stay here until the 9th . Not sure. All depends.....

it can happen - Lee's in town. and so is Gene.

.

Hell yah, let them play their best games and see what happens.

A match of 8 ball on a bar table and snooker on a 6x12.

I guess the tie-breaker could be 10 ball on a 9ft.

I don't know Lee personally but I do know people that know him and can twist his arm to play Gene the way I've outlined above.

We know Lee has the worst of it but we'll take a look at it if the bet is up there...no funsies...no let's just have fun cheap...got to be a least 5 dimes on this and play only losers can quit.

We all know Rhea has a ton of heart and would go all in with Gene, they must be up to at least $10,000 on the road so far (they said they were up to over 6k in Indy and you know its just gone up since then) so we all know they got it to put in play.

This is the kind of thing you look and wait for on the road.

We know Rheas' answer is YES!

This does not make financial sense, 6 hours to get to Hickory from where we are at, then another 6 just to come right back where we are since the tournament we need to have Gene play in is right here in Newport News VA on Nov 9th. It makes more sense to just stay right here and play a couple local tournaments this Saturday.

On another note today I dropped Gene off at Breakaway Billiards and headed over to Hampton VA to play in a local bar tournament at Josh's and ended up winning the tournament. Then after the tournament I went back to Breakaway where Gene was finishing up mini-lessons and then we headed over to Pockets.

I wasn't there even 5 minutes before 2 different men asked to play me but claimed they both needed a spot from me playing any game in pool. Both of them played too strong for me to give out a spot so I declined.

Then I played a single game of chess with one of them for $5 which wasn't a good idea I really should just stick with pool. I am not good at anything else.

I was reading back a few pages. Thought you were still in Greensboro

10k ? You've got to be joking. Gene likes 200$ sets not 2,000$
Sounds like a good ol fashioned "high roll" to me. If your a high roller then bet with another high roller.... Someone will take YOUR action

Ohhh, you're calling Gene and Rhea a couple of liars?????

They keep saying how much they've been making, so its coming from the horses mouth.

You think Gene is a nit or something??

He's a road man and been doing this for 40 years. He knows what he's doing.

When i make a bet it will be pretty solid and

You don't want to be on the wrong side of it for sure.

I'm doing everything i can from eating right, exercise and practice to get where I need to be.

just put together another peice of my puzzle to get there and i will be sharing it with my new Perfect Aim students daily on the road.

Don't know if this will work for everyone but i will find out.

Many of the things I teach I see that they do work for everyone. We all like to think we are so special and we are but 1+1=2 and 3+3=6 and there is nothing anyone can do to change that.

I get excited every time i pick up a nugget for myself. And this was kind of a big one.

Can't wait to start sharing it and see the results. This is what is really nice about teaching because I can show it to about 20 students in a short period of time. if it works well for most of them i have a winner. if not it might just be my own little pot of gold.

I might not be able to play at that higher level all the time but I have my moments. Just being able to get there and have done that the understanding how things works is easier to see.

I just don't decide something works and teach it. i make sure it works for myself first, share it a little and then make an educated decision.

Nothing worse than trying to learn something that someone thinks works and doesn't. Especially when the student trusts the teacher and they are at a level where they can't even tell the difference.

I really love helping everyone improve their games but when i put another notch in the old belt for myself with my game that's huge.

And it isn't like I discovered something new. I just rediscovered something that I did years ago that took me to that higher level and kept me there.

Now I just need to continue forward and keep this busted up body in optimal health.

The first student I will share this with is Rhea.

One man a van and the road.

Two months ago, when Rhea started out on the road with Gene, Rhea was a D-player. Earlier this week, Rhea posted that she was still a D-player who needs a huge spot when she gambles.

Gene, I'm curious to know how much Rhea has improved since she started working with you? Shouldn't Rhea at least be a C-player by now?

She's not a D player. I don't know what her speed was when she 1st hit the road with Gene, but seeing her play 1st hand a couple weeks ago, she ain't no D. She's got some game and smart money says Gene had a little sumthin sumthin to do with that.

Don't help them get a line on me. I am staying under the radar for as long as possible.

Dammit, I knocked your action. Kat's out of the bag on the most popular pool forum in the world. OK, you're a D+.

;)

Best of rolls R & G team.

Being on the road playing pool is tough. You make it to the Bay Area I'll play you some sets

you gamble much?

nobody gets better

everybody is "just getting back to playing"

and everybody played good but "that was a long time ago"

Leaving the motel to go snap off another tournament and then hopefully get some side action.

Geno:

I watched your match on youtube with Kiamco last night. You looked pretty good, just tried a couple safeties that didn't work out.

The first one you stopped the cue ball and sent the 2 three rails but it ducked up. Maybe should have let the cue ball roll forward then land on the bottom rail.

I know, everyone is an expert when you can hit the replay button. :)

Tonight Gene won 2nd place at Breakaway and I got 4th place at Buddies, then I played the guy that got 3rd place over at Pockets in a race to 9 $100 after playing him $10 a rack for several hours today and breaking even. The final score of the race to 9 for $100 was 9-7. I lost the match and wanted to play again but Gene said I was outmatched and that I had no chance against the guy I played. So I booked my first loser in a couple weeks and now I feel bad about it I really thought I could beat this guy.

...I might miss a couple of balls at first and will immediately go into manually aligning myself to the shot (aiming with an aiming system) using Perfect Aim or CTE/Pro1.<--And of course, you NEVER miss another ball ! ;)

Some people play perfectly well without any aiming system and that's great but some of us are mere mortals and need a little edge. :D <--Boy, it must be rough, being a 'mere mortal' ! ;)

JoeyA

Joey, have you tried "TOI" yet ?..According to Wil-ey Coyote, you will never miss again !...
Since you've already mastered Perfect Aim, and CTE/Pro1, wouldn't that be the next logical
step to "Pool Perfection" ?..Plus, (according to Mr.Wil-ey) as an added bonus, you will be able
to learn perfect One Pocket, in just 3 short weeks !.... How 'bout dem apples, eh !

The Road Runner (aka SJD)

PS..Wil-ey also gives other lessons !:p

is Rodney Morris a big enough name? He came up to Gene and thanked him for the lesson he gave him 4 years ago, he said he still remembers what Gene taught him and uses it every day.

Oh, they will just ignore your post Rhea... because they can't disprove it, and now you have a big name. Even pro's pick up tips along the way. Same crap they throw at Stan, or anyone else. Bunch of nits because they learned the hard way, losing lots of money to gamblers... which I'm pretty sure cost more than a few lessons :)

Funny, the only sport in the history of the world, where lessons are NOT needed. Is pool really that easy ???
