Soak elkmaster or triangle in milk for 24 hours. Put in vise squeeze as hard as you can. Tighten every hour for six hours. Then tighten every day and leave in vise for a week.

You can also try soaking in mineral spirits or cranberry juice. Mineral spirits and triangle tip is supposed to work the best for a break tip.

I'll bite. What is a milkdud tip?

It's a non-layered tip typically an Elkmaster, (although LePro and Triangle tips are often used), which has been allowed to soak in whole milk for 24 hrs or more, and then pressed in a vise. The theory behind this is that the tip absorbs casein (a milk protein) which acts as a binding and hardening agent.

BTW, casein is used in the manufacture of quite a few adhesives.
