If you in fact get them, pay the service charge and cash them asap!!!

Let money mart eat the cost if they bounce.

I agree. Smashmouth represents the aspect of ignorant and overbearing criticism to which I have refered in earlier posts.

He grandstands with innaccurate thread titles which contain little but a whine that would be more appropriately added as near pointless content within one of the many other relevant threads.

People come here hoping to read informative and well thought out arguments and developments. A bit of humor and wild speculation thrown in on occassion stimulates the mind, but this tendency to pollute the board with grandstanding statements is not useful and should not be endorsed by those who respect this forum as a source of information distribution.

There is an unwritten code of behavior when starting new threads. That being, that you have something new to contribute or that something raised on another thread may branch off into a new area of thought that justifies a new discussion thread.

The 3 recent thread starts by Smashmouth do not fit into those categories I believe. It's like he just strolled late into a party and jumped onto the dinner table to shout his simplistic opinions on what party goers had been discussing all evening.

Colin, I definitely agree with the points you've made about new threads, however, I think that those same general principles also apply to existing threads too. Whether it's an existing thread or a new one, posters should be contributing something of value.

Posting in this forum is a privilege which is sometimes being abused.

True PSA,
But if a comment within a thread is short and rather pointless, it is easily passed over.

When someone posts an entire new thread with a title "Now Official, No Funds before Chicago" and similar clap-trap, it just wastes more of most reader's time.

There was a tourney long ago, Courtney/Coffee sponsored it in Iowa, I think, along the river back in the early 70's + there was a classic 10-ball ring game with Searcy, Mataya, Bob Osborne and someone else at the hotel, but my point is Rempe got his check, he must of known something was up, he got it cashed at the cage where you paid to enter, it bounced and even tho the King did not win, he got his money earlier than others....the winner got 0$$, so actually Jimmy was the top paid tourney winner even tho he went out early, its not often the winner gets allot less than those below em.

Ordinarily I would agree with you.

However, within the IPT Forum there are just too many posters posting fluff that is a waste of everyone's time to read and/or comment upon, such as "Pop the Champagne" thread that I just read. It's all rubbish.

Colin,

Why hijack my thread? You wanna go off subject, start a new one.

See Island Drive's post, learn something.

Sorry if I offended but a few big words within a long post doesn't neccesarily make it well written, nor does it make you appear bright which was clearly the effect you were looking for.

Now go cry to the admin about how I hurt
your feelings, lol

In any case, I'm done with you.

I don't see your name on the list of IPT players. You shouldn't be one to talk.

What is the point of making a post like this? If he were the best player on earth or the worst, he is a valued contributor to this board. He explains his point of view in an articulate, intelligent, and friendly manner.

This board is starting to get a little crazy. Whatever happens with the IPT, let's not allow it to splinter us like this. I enjoy reading this section of AZ, but it's beginning to degenerate into some pretty mindless stuff.

This isn't fair. You are judging the guy on TWO tournaments, and TWO days of playing. Might I remind you that Thorsten Hohmann went out in the first round in Reno.

How would you like it if someone watched you play a bad match, and then decided that you were no good based on that one match.

As Steve said, my playing ability has nothing to do with this thread.

I've won 2 matches and lost 6 for your info. About 38% of frames played. Sure I could have played better....but everyone will tell you that:D

Note: To Smashmouth, I probably did jump into the wrong thread. I know nothing about Money Mart or the worth of your advice concerning it. I assumed it was simply to mock the IPT, though I could be wrong.

What I did see was that you posted 3 new threads very quickly, two at least which were fluff.

My intention was to preserve the standard of this forum.

I am sure ...

that the players have given the checks due them consideration, and will either immediately deposit it into an account they have, or make arrangements for getting them cashed.

It isn't really an issue we should be concerned about.
