2015 AZB Ghost Challenge - Official Thread

I wish the balls went straight! I think most of my misses are due to changes in swerve and throw and deflection depending on the shot. Just when I think I have a handle on it, the combination fools me.

I think I'm going to read through all of Dr Dave's Billards Digest series on this topic. Boy, lots of nuances to this game.

I did and was gonna but can't find cable to connect to computer AND the sd card info can't be found lol Just ordered a new wire. Its been a while since I filmed anything but this is a fun drill.

I'm making it my goal this year to take down the AmRo ghost in a race to 100 at least once! (Unlikely, but not impossible either!)
 
Why would anyone post a video here after the 15 pack by Gerry?

Because most of us here are actually just competing against ourselves and trying to get our own personal best scores. :wink:
 
I didn't know about the 15 pack lol He's a sicko. I have to stay neutral but I hope he goes deep in our finals at Derby. He'll have some tough competition for extra motivation.

Stupid Phones

I really wan´t to make entry for 9 or 10-ball but my phone corrupts now video files after recording.. started after new software update... HATE IT. :angry::angry::angry:
Today i made rollback to factory settings and it still did not work. Now i updated it again and i hope it works but i got a bad feeling about it :frown:
 
Poolmanis, I hope you can get that worked out.
Don't know the details, but could be a lack of available storage space?
 
I today talked businessman who have almost same phone but little bit newer version and better camera on that phone and he said he had same problem after software update.
Support made suggestion to rollback factory settings and he did and it did not solve problem. He had to send it to repair and after he got it back from there everything worked.
If it not start work tomorrow(with this newer update) i will get it repaired...
Storage place is empty due of rollback also :D

I still think I can get a 7-0 on my table, so I'll keep trying. The challenge is fun, and it is good practice.

Thanks. I got lucky a couple of times (and the big pockets saved me on several shots), but if I hadn't hit the cluster combo shot so hard, I would have been out. I will keep trying for the 7-0 (which is very doable on my table, even though I wouldn't have a remote chance at a 7-0 on a table like Gerry's or uwate's).

This is fun, and it is certainly helping my game. I certainly wouldn't be putting in this much practice time if I didn't have the challenge from this thread.
