Shane/Mike Match

is anyone else besides BeiberLvr watching the PPV?

Despite the small table, I bought the stream to watch Shane do his thing... If I had known it was alternating breaks, I would not have.

Even so, it was worth the $15. I don't know how a person can even think there's a better player than Shane in this world.

"Better player than Shane" ??
who haven't won w a single 8, 9 or 10 ball World championship apart from world pool masters.

I do think there's a lot who's on par or better,

Ko brothers n both Chang from Taiwan , Darren Appleton n the filipinos ??

Those are some to consider buddy :)

I would have though it would be closer than that. If anyone can hang with SVB's 10 ball break it's Mike. And alternating break is about as even as you can get especially in a race to 21 where some bad luck on the break spread would even out.

I will say that the CSI events being on 7 footers is the only reason I did not get any of the matches. Not long ago a top player posted that he could take out his d!@k and run the balls out with it on a 7 footer.

Any non-local room event for pro's or even a high level event like a state championship needs to be on 9' tables or it's like having a major golf tournament played on a mini golf course.

Interesting game.

Mike 3 fouls Shane, but never tells him he's on two, and doesn't even realize he forgot.

So he goes for the 4 foul, but Shane hits the ball. Mike wins anyways.

How's that work?

Do you tell opponent that 'he's on three'?

Or is the 4th now the 1st of a different/reset series of fouls?

thanks

You obviously know zero about pool
Svb has been beat in challenge match last year by ko at ten ball
Still never won a worlds event with full field
Mosconi record pretty awful
Goes on an on

Great player but still lot to achieve and prove on many eyes

After winning the US Open 3 times in a row with a total of 4, Shane has 0 to prove to anyone. Not to mention a lot of other major events.
If he retires today, he'll be in the hall of fame. If he retired a year ago before his 3rd US Open in a row, he'll be in the hall of fame.

What does him losing to Ko in a match have anything to do with anything? My 10 yr old beat me in a game once also, does that mean I can't play or beat her other days?

He may not be the best in the world all the time, but he can certainly play with the top 10. And who the top 10 are tends to go back and forth depending on the month.

Yawn. Did anyone expect anything different from this match? And here we go again with this Shanetard nonsense.

Might not be #1 in the world, but by Fargo Ratings he is #3 before last night behind Jaiqing Wu, and Dennis Orcollo

Just waiting on the obligatory reference to the AZB moneyboards and/or WPA rankings. Where's Corvette and his "variance"? Can we move all the WPA events to the U.S.? How about making every match a race to 100 winner break? Ok, I'm out of sarcasm for now.

Dechaine? I have no problem with him. He's been approachable the couple of times I spoke to him at Steinway. :p

Shane gives him the 5 & out at being approachable. Liakos will confirm this for me. I'm surprised he hasn't posted in this thread since it has Mike's name in it.

Tony Robles gives them the 5 & out, the breaks, plus games on the wire

They were going to do an approachable contest race to 100 people, both walk the streets of NY and whoever made the best first impressions wins, but Shane withdrew last minute because he was seeded number 2 instead of 1.
