I'm finally going to do it...

For years now I've wanted a travel cue that would fit in my roll on bag (I know I'll have to check it anyway, but I want it to fit in the bag I travel with).

Back on RSB a few years ago I suggested a 3 piece cue with two joints at the two third points, allowing for 3 equal sized pieces. I know at least one cue like this was made by Sherm Anderson to Lou Figeroa's spec's (I think he wanted it to match his playing cue).

Well I never got around to having one made myself but now I want one. I guess I'm asking on this board who can make me a sneaky pete version using purple heart. I would like it to match my Southwest spec's if possible. Oh and I'd like to know how much this will cost me. Thanks.

You CRAZY! :D

So how would that work - three equally long (or close to it) pieces? Short shaft, short butt, short middle piece?

A local shooter here has a pair of 3-piece cues, made out of ash (but he shoots 9-ball and 1P with the them regularly, and pretty well, too). He thinks some guy in Oregon made them, but wasn't exactly sure last time I checked.

In any case, I'd like to have one of these too, also for travel purposes. Maybe it would be cheaper to order two at once?

Just a suggestion, but why not post this in the "Ask The Cuemaker" section? More of them will see it that way, unless you are soliciting the opinions of the consumer as opposed to the makers. Just a thought.

Yup, just like that. The shaft joint is out of the way during normal shots.

Actually, it was Sheldon Lebow.

OK, I'll post it in ask the cuebuilder like Cuedog suggests and see what happens.

That's it! Sorry to Sheldon and again, sorry for spelling your name wrong Lou (I'm spelling everyone's name wrong lately).

The case was made by some guy out here named Chas but I contacted him and he said he's not doing any leather work anymore, too bad.
