Pretty shocking that Shane is not making an attempt to win the (only?) major title he's missing.

So all of the Mosconi Cup Team Europe guys except Van den Berg will play, but none of Team USA. USA's only players are Hunter Lombardo and Robert Hart.

$1200 x 5 = $6000 in round trip airfare
$100 x 5 = $500 a night in hotel stays
$50 x 5 = $250 daily incidentals
0% chance of winning tournament

Math seems right to me...... :duck:

The math sure ain't right - how the hell the WPA let Qatar, which can pay through the nose, get this event so cheap is a wee bit boggling.

I agree....way too cheap...and there's trouble in that area now.

Nikos Ekonomopoulos, Aloysius Yapp, Mario He, Raj Hundal and all the Italians(Petroni, Murratore, Corrieri) are missing too. Shane not entering is shocking, I really don't understand this choice. And the UK players. Is there some sort of boycott going on? Still a super tough field, very excited about it!

Thank goodness that all matches will be streamed, after last year's fiasco!

30K to the winner of the "world championship"? There are bar box events that were in that range if you count the calcutta.

The first place prize was 2-3 times higher in the 2000s LOL

WPA is slipping a bit.

If I remember right, the last Matchroom WC in possibly 2007 (?). Daryl Peach got $100k.
