Advice needed to fix my pockets

Lats year I had someone come to my house, replace the rubber on my rails, and recloth the table. Because the rubber was cut in house, the angles and cuts are not exactly perfect inside the pockets. Its really starting to annoy me as a couple of the pockets, any type of speed, the ball will hit and jump into the air. Another pocket, I can roll the ball, hit the inside of the pocket, and the ball doesnt drop (when it obviously should)... I cant get ahold of the mechanic I had come in and I want to get it fixed. Will having someone put shims in (which I dont mind) be enough to fix my bad cuts?

Adding or changing a facing (shim) on a cushion cut to an incorrect angle is not going to change the angle. IMO you're looking at a cushion replacement - by someone that knows wtf they're doing - apparently your "mechanic" did not.

Do you think that the cushion angle could be recut and then add shims in to make the difference?

If already cut shallow (too wide) recutting won't help. If the pocket openings
are tight then it's possible to widen the angles. Also need to check the down
angles as many so called mechanics just cut cushions perpendicular without any
down angle.
