Need to see joint inside male and female sides. Is that one or those three or four piece cues?

That's not a Sampaio.

It's a cheap Asian copy.

$5 cue.

The Sampaio is worth something. There was an Adam version that is quite rare and attracts more value than the Sampaio.

I have seen it at hit it hit ok ,it's not a three piece or one that converted into a walking stick it was a solid butt can't remember if it was male shaft but I think it was , this happened about 10 yrs ago but it was cool saw a lot of those in the early 70s brought back some memories like the aluminum cues that use to ting when you hit them and the painted cues ,, I would strip the paint off and take a torch and burn the wood in different patterns lightly sand it down and shellac it sand and buff ,, did several for guys in the pool hall cheap cues , I wanna say that had yellow pine shafts not maple also ,, but I digress
Not worth much but I'd never get rid of it it's a true time piece

Yellow pine? Highly unlikely. Even on a dime store cue.

The alternative wood you saw on those cheap Chinese cues was Ramin.

Ramin wood is now endangered partly due to the cheap pool cues and partly due to chop sticks. Not kidding.

And....even without seeing the rest of the cue it is obviously not a Sampaio or Adam. Seeing the joint makes it definitive though.

Which has a better hit? The cues or the chopsticks?

I don't know about timberland, maybe a Danner? Either way, he might have walked in with that pool cue and came out with ONE SHOE!! ( all in Jest)

Nice engravings on the wood, though. Don't see too much of that done in the higher end market....
