Apparently Camel advertised using Hoppe's name as "the champion", despite the fact that he wasn't champion at the time. (18.2) Cochran got irked and filed an order to stop R J Reynolds.
What is even funnier is that after the ad was published, many billiard players (and fans alike) were laughing because Hoppe supposedly was a non-smoker - or at least smoked so little that it was never associated with him.
