I got my new Darrin Hill cue several weeks ago and I like it a lot. The work and finish is flawless. The hit is firm but crisp and sensitive, and the cue is very precise. It won't do any more or less than I ask of it, which very reliable. Lots of feedback/feel and nice slightly forward balance. I really like the taper on the shafts...long but crisp. I really appreciate Darrin taking on this project, as I provided some of the wood and Darrin took a chance with me. He's really great to work with and I would recommend him to anyone. Specs: BEM forearm, Bocote buttsleeve, Aegis half-joint and buttcap. Rings are Micarta into ebony trimmed in Bocote. Shafts are Eric Crisp/Wes Hunter "diamond" grade dowels (turned by Darrin) with 34 & 35 rpi., ivory ferrules, moori tips...these are amazing shafts and this cue is a major player. Thanks again, Darrin, and these photos really don't do the cue justice!!
