I have a Hoppe and a Greenleaf in for repairs and thought I'd share a little. I restored the Greenleaf several weeks ago and is back for a shaft.

The Hoppe, as you can see, has ringwork/collar issues common to that era of cue. The black rings are made of pressed cotton so they swell over time and pop loose.

Take a close look at how the male pin was anchored in this Hoppe. A small hole was drilled through the tenon and the male pin. A smaller steel pin was then pushed through so the brass male pin wouldn't turn. Not sure if many people have seen this before.

Greenleaf

Nice Greenleaf you've got there. Those are few and far between. I have one original and one conversion that I got last year. Those are the only two I've been able to get in many years of looking.
