Any Lucasi reviews

i have the shaft, but not the butt part. the shafts are great, basically they are the old universal smartshafts without the changeable joint. no hollow spaces in the shaft, which gives it a very solid hit. there is low deflection technology in the ferrule area. not as low deflection as a pred/ob, but still much lower than a standard maple shaft. the shafts are also on the heavy side, which i like. definitely recommend the shafts if you want low deflection, but the feel of a solid maple shaft.

Do they sell the shaft for other cues? what do you use your hybrid shaft with?

they make them in a variety of joint styles just like other aftermarket shafts. no partials though, so it's generally a black collar or with a silver ring. I have mine for a radial pin that I use with various cues. they also have a slim 11.75 version, but the taper on that is horrible. they went with a pro taper instead of conical, so the thing is whippy as hell. these are two great places to get them:

also, what i like about the shaft is the taper is slightly longer and quite comfortable, but still fairly stiff. it's stiffer than the 314^2 and ob-1.

Think you could post a pic of your cue+lucasi shaft?

i tried taking some pics, they came out horrible! i gotta get a decent setup together to take some pics of cues. anyways, the shaft doesn't look like anything special. black collar with silver ring for a radial pin. ferrule is 7/8" long. nielsen's has some good pics of it on ebay.

i used to play a normal lucasi cue and sold to my friend.
now i would like to suggest you to buy a josey custom cue.
i just got one, and it hits amazing!

My "gun" is at the moment a LHF40 with a OB2 shaft. In the beginning I did not
have high hopes for the cue since it was Chinese and the rest, but after receiving it that changed a little.
The stock shaft was immediately parked in the "collection of shafts not in use"
paper box and I mounted a OB2 on it.

The feeling is that the cue gives a softer hit and has a ton of power to it (english)
without doing a lot effort with my arm. Very easy to draw and so
on where the OB2 combo gives more english than when I use the OB2 on some
of the other 8-9 cues I own.

Many players have tried my cue and are amazed on how much english they
get and like it.
Quality wise I would say it's on the better part of the China cues. However, all
of the cues I have sold have had the shrink'ed rubber grip loosing in the
jointed area. This is easy to fix with super glue, just draw a line of glue along
the joint and your done. However for the price - I think this should not happen.
The grip is however VERY good to hold - at least to my hands which always have
preferred leather grip. Also, the grip area is a little more narrow than the normal
diameter on other cues.

Inlays looks OK and the UniLoc joint combined with the plastic collar (in the
joint) gives a softer hitting cue than the SS collars on some of the other cues.
Might not be to everyones taste.

The cue has some big fat rings around the joint and the finnish on my cue has
had a small amount of movement surrounding the alu ring. I'm picky and
don't think this should occur either, but this could be just my own cue. Non
of the other I have sold have reported this on their playing cues, but the
same has happened on several break stick from them (Big Beuhla).

For the price they are good. Many customers over here spend much more
for Predator cues and personally I feel these cues compares with Predator
if you ask me. Specially if you know where Predator is produced.

The hit might not be to everyones liking but the LHF40,LHF60 cues has a
distinct design and cocobolo + ebony wood is used
so the wood is quality wise good.
This should make them comparable to some of the other production cues out there.

I'm selling these cues and I'm dead straight honest about my review.
