Nice Collection!!

You're missing a Chas Clements and a New York Case. :)

Ever try to do a hidden pocket case like the 2x4 below?

Nice Collection!!

You're missing a Chas Clements and a New York Case. :)

Ever try to do a hidden pocket case like the 2x4 below?

In fact I think I was the first to do a hidden pocket. I did one in 1991. The customer asked me to make a hidden pocket large enough for a kilo of sugar. I am not kidding those were his exact words.

So I made the case extra long and the lower outside pocket had a false bottom and under that was the hidden space. If one were to unzip the upper pocket then the hidden pocket was completely undetectable. You had to know just how to reach in to remove the false bottom. I am sure that the owner was able to satisfy his sweet tooth.

And recently I made a hidden space in a case like this:

Just enough space for a tip tapper or whatever else might be about that size.

Cases that I am missing are Whitten (had two previously), New York Case, Melton, MAT, Jim Knott, Waldemar Eisele, True West, My Personal Instroke that I made for myself and lost gambling, Centennial (had one) Ann Gore (had two), Evladin, AVP and Harvey Martin.

I am sure I forgot some others. Eventually I'd like to collect all the current case makers' work and hang them up like art. But Karen disagrees with me and thinks that vacations and stuff for Jessie are more important. ;-)

In fact she would be happy to sell all these and apply the money towards those things.

Well you can tell her if you ever get tight for money, consider the justis sold. Thats one of his better looking ones.

I have had a few people offer to buy the Justis. I have been told by many that Justis cases are collector's items and that they appreciate in value. No one has offered me more than the price Justis asks for to get a new one so I think I have to wait for the appreciation.

If I ever get tight for money I will just make more cases. :-)

Hahaha nice!

I really like the thought of having hidden pockets. My friend used to have one of those New York cases... I think it weighed about 45 pounds. He also kept sugar in the pockets... go figure.

I think the Murnak is pretty nice too.

I used to have a beautiful one but I never used it. The pocket system was great but the case itself was too bulky and the cue tubes were way too big. I also didn't care much for the sharp locking latch that much.. I guess it just kinda scared me being that close to my Ginacue. I did like the way the lid had hinges that allowed me to flip it all the way over. It was a great case but I think it would have been perfect if it was scaled down a bit and had a better/tighter tube interior.

The pockets and lid hinges are great features on the Murnak. The other things you mentioned are all things which come with experience. I don't like anything to be near the cues other than soft fabric and foam rubber. My 4x8 tube happens to fit almost perfectly into the 3x6 skin on the Murnak. I just need to add a little foam to fill in the space and it will bond nicely. Surprisingly I found yesterday that our 4x8 interior is just 1lb heavier than Murnak's poster tubes. His weighs 5lbs and ours weighs 6lbs. I had thought that there would be at least a 2lb difference.

That's a pretty one that you had. I learned a lot from Jim about making the tooling fit the space.

I suppose if you are going to make copies of one's cases, it is imperative to have a specimen of the case for which you copy.

Hey, it's the guy who always wins dick of the month! Nice to see you didn't go anywhere and you still have the desire to go for the award each month.

You are absolutely right. If I want to copy something then it's a good idea to have the original in front of me. And if I want to study the craft then it's equally a good idea to collect as many different cases as possible.

I guess if a cue maker said that he dissected dozens of cues to figure out how they were built you'd be the first nuthugger writing in your blog how great a practice that is. But because it's me you just can't let it pass can you?

I am so looking forward to seeing you in October. It's always nice to meet forum friends and hug it out in person.

Be sure to bring all your Whitten cases. I might like to buy one since I currently don't have one. You will have a bigger selection than the same four cases you have had on your site for two years won't you? I was all excited when you became a Whitten dealer. I thought my friends Dan and Joe had just landed a super salesman who would move a lot of cases. They must be flying out so fast that you don't have time to update your website. Well if you're all sold out by then I guess I will have to find another source.

And again congratulations on winning the DOM award for 37 straight months. I honestly don't know how you find the energy to be a jerkoff constantly. Amazing.

Look... it's the liar of the month, for however many months you have been alive. All you can ever do is resort to calling people names, because that's all you have. I state facts, you state lies... nothing ever changes.

Energy... to type about 20 words... LMAO!

When are you going to lie about never posting on AZ again John... for the 37th time. You're a pathetic man...

P.S. Jamie,

If you're going to be a cue dealer shouldn't you know the names of the cue makers you are dealing with? Your time might be better spent checking your website for people's names you don't care enough to get right. To save you the embarrassment I will refrain from listing all the great cue makers whose names you butchered. I'd get on that though as it's either a sign of disrespect or incompetence to misspell the names of people you represent.

Oh man that hurts John... please stop, you're breaking me down.

Keep on lying John... that's what you do best my friend!

Don't sweat it. I can change my mind and decide to post if I so choose. What's it to you? A friend told me not to let the assholes run me off. So here I am and here you are on cue.

You state facts huh? Alright then Mr. Facts, there are 18 cases listed. Which of those did I copy? Show me the original and the copy and we can talk about it. Should be easy for you since you state facts.

Betcha can't do it. I will even give you a head start and grant you the Fellini, Super Mac, It's George Engles and Ron Thomas. Those are all the same genre that I did my version of with the GTF Cases. Forgetting about all the improvements I did to that style of case I will even let you say that I copied them all.

Here is the list again - get busy little beaver.

Lying? Do I need to make screen shots?

Let's start with these three:

You wrote Pete Omen. It's Pete Ohman, the cue brand is OMEN.

Who is Jeff Onley? I know of a Jeff Olney.

Is Samasara a knockoff of Samsara? Especially good because the name of the brand is right there on the cue and you still got it wrong.

Who is Anthony Sciannelli? In your listing you have Anthony Scianella? Italians are ususally kinda sensitive about their names and I'd think Tony is especially picky about his given the attention to detail he puts in his cues.

Here, this one is hotlinked so you can change it and when it's corrected I will remove it:

I know being the big time dealer you are that you don't have time to proofread and get cue maker's names right. It's ok I understand how busy it gets.

Also I know you are proud of your photos and fancy yourself to be a good photographer. So can I ask you if the joint on this cue is scratched up? The Black Boar I owned had a polished stainless steel joint but this one doesn't look polished at all? Is this some new matte steel wool decorated joint that Tony is doing or is your photoshop on acid?

LOL @ John...

Sure. Laugh all you want but my next blog post will be using you as an example of carelessness and disrespect. And really, I don't know who has been blowing smoke up your ass but your photos suck. You need to take lessons from Tikkler.
