made 5 once today actually and for the first time ever made 3 balls in the same pocket...twice. 3 in the side and 3 in a corner up on the head of the table.

i made 6 on the break once. got shape on the lowest ball and dogged an easy out. i'd only been playing like 8 months or so at the time

I've made 5 balls twice and 6 balls once, but on my BEST break I made none... For me the best break was when I hit the center of the head ball with maximum speed. A perfect hit, fabulous control of the CB and nothing down... That's what you get for playing in bars where there are dents on the felt so that you can't even fluke a good rack...:grin-square:

In 9-ball the most was 6 on the break once and had to push out. My best was 4 and all the remaining ball were lying close to the pockets and simple shots. In 8-ball it was 5 and all were stripes in a hill/hill match in Vegas. I took the solids and won the match because I did not have a clear shot at a pocket if I taken the stripes. In 10-ball just 2.

6 on the break and BOTH of the higher-numbered balls were blocking the lowest numbered ball. I kicked and sold out.

This was a couple years ago on a shitty bar box btw.

My all-time best was 7 balls on a 9-footer. When I saw those balls dropping, I knew I was in deep doo-doo, because it never works out (with me, anyway) that such a great break would result in an easy out. And wouldn't you know it, my next shot was a table-length "straight back" bank, with the object ball against the foot rail, and the cue ball about six inches from the head rail. It's a common One Pocket bank, so I played it as such, made it, and got out.

I occasionally make 4 and 5 in a blue moon, but never 7.

Danny Harriman made 6 balls on the break in the 7-Ball Challenge at the ESPN special held in Baltimore several years ago.

The BEST video I've seen, though, is of Alex Pagulayan breaking the balls in 9-ball against Santos in the semifinals of the 2004 BCA Open in Vegas.

Alex breaks, makes 6 balls, and ends up losing the game to Santos. You gotta love Alex's spirit in this video clip. Enjoy: The Lion Making 6 Balls on Break.

6 on the break playing APA in Regionals. No shot on lowest ball, played safe, other guy sold out.
