Gandy?

Had this cue come my way a few weeks ago and put it aside. I was pretty certain it was once I saw the weight bolt and insert. I haven't seen for a whille on AZ and was curious what the ballpark is on these old cues? It does have an ivory ferrule(cracked unfortunately) and a wonderful leather wrap. Far from perfect, but still a cool old cue from the late 60's if I'm correct. In my little bit if research, I noticed the pins are all 5/16x18, but the tips have been machined differently. I was under the impression a few different makers where at Gandy during its short lived career. Maybe different makers can be noted by the pin ends? Anyway, here are the pics.

With the aluminum insert in the shaft and stainless steel collar around the joint on the shaft I'd say it's a late 1960's National cue.

Looks like a Gandy to me. Aluminum inserts were common in Gandy cues. I will agree the pin should be pointed but its dead on Gandy in all other ways.

Gandy

For what it's worth, my Gandy has stainless joint collars, brass insert, and brass pin.

Mine does have a nice old leather wrap on it, which was available on that brochure.
