FS: Fancy Skip Weston and Bluegrass cues (Both New)

Hello all.

After much debate I have decided that I am going to be selling just about everything I own. That being said, what I offering up for sale is a 2005, ultra fancy Skip Weston that is in BRAND NEW condition. That's right. Brand new!!! One shaft was test hit (9 shots total), the other not even played (any bluing on the tip is from the bottom of my case!)

Description
Forearm: Four points of Gaboon ebony into beautiful curly maple. Veneers inside to out
are natural, putumuju, purpleheart, and ebony. In each point are perfectly aligned,
two-piece ivory peacocks.
Butt Sleeve: Gaboon ebony with four sets of ivory railroad tracks (see pics) separated by
ivory hand-notched diamonds. Each notched diamond is has a small ivory circle
on top and bottom. (Total number of ivory inlays in this cue- 4)
Ringwork: Silver, Ivory, and Ebony Bushka rings at all locations.
Wrap: Black Lizard.
Buttcap: Black phenolic.
Joint: 5/16xX14 stainless steel (Skip's best hitting joint) and it gives the cue a truly
classic and classy look.

Shafts: Both a full 13mms. Ivory ferrules. Hard triangle tips. One played just one rack of 9
ball. The other test hit without chalk (then subsequently and inadvertantly chalked
ever so slightly by the bottom of my case! :( )

It is truly a remarkable cue and is quite honsetly one of the nicest and fanciest Skips built to date (Pipe down Joe! I know you've got one or two fancier!!! :D )

For all serious inquiries or better pics, please PM or email me at
pharaoh68@hotmail.com.

My asking price is $2800 complete with matching Ron Thomas 1x2 black lizard case.

Trades considered (especially for Paul Mottey and James White cues)

I also forgot to mention, I have a plain jane Bluegrass (Richard Harris) for sale as well.
Forearm and Butt: Highly figured birdseye maple.
Wrap: Black with white spec linen.
Rings: Silver, ebony, and holly at all locations.
Pin: 3/8x11 (matching joint protectors)

This cue is brand new. Boths shafts are just a hair over 13mms. Only been test hit once by me and once by the original owner. Excellent players cue in perfect condition.
19oz.

Richard stopped taking orders after his wait grew to about 8 years! That's how good these cues play!!!

SCROLL DOWN FOR PICTURES OF BLUEGRASS!!! Thank you again Jazz for the help.

Anyone interested, contact me.

This cue is really nice. I remember it going together and I was wishing the joint was ivory. I would say this is one of the fanciest traditional cues he has built. If you are a traditionalist, this cue has your name on it.

Hey Joe, just out of curiosity where do you think my cue falls in the range of fancy Skip's?

Depends on what you are counting... but its up there. I can dig through my pics but mine, its eb/snake sister cue, and one or two others are right up there. Sean at cueaddicts had one with the most unusual rings I had ever seen, but the rest of the cue looked like it crashed at Roswell.

"Crashed at Roswell"! Man, now that is a great line Joe!

Sorry guys but I'm a bit of an idiot when it comes to resiing pics. My digital camera takes pics that won't fit on AZ. I had a friend take pictures of them but they are too big also. He can resize them because he knows how but if you guys give me email addresses, I can send you the pictures ASAP.

Thanks,
Brian
Brian

Look at this thread about photobucket and use them to post to AZB.

Good luck,
Myron

It's no biggie ...

Since I had the photos and photobucket account, it was a "quickie" ... good luck on your sale.

looking at your signature, I'm missing Ohman, Weston and Murrell in my collection <hint, hint>

Ok ... hook me up with your friend.

I do have this Mottey (thanks to another outstanding AZ member Spanky981 aka Mike) but it ain't for sell (yet). I prefer to trade up for a Tascarella, Searing, Hercek and etc :D

Just want to say that I saw the blue grass in person in Valley Forge, and it was in like new condition. Other than chalk on the tip of one shaft, the cue is virtually brand new.

Good luck with the sales, Brian.

It was a pleasure meeting you.:)

A deal for the Skip Weston fell through.

I am looking specifically for James White and Paul Mottey cues for so all trade and trade plus cash offers will also be considered.

This cue is $2,950 new and the case is $250 new. I'm looking to get $2,800 (ballpark) so by all means, make me an offer! :D
