Somebody shared this YouTube video of the action table. Thank you to whoever took the time to share this.

It looks and sounds like Jarrod Clowery is barking on the rail for side bets, "I'll take 3 to 1. Put up 600. I'll take 3 to 1 from here." I'm not sure if that's Jarrod or somebody else. Definitely New England accent.

Jayson Shaw is sitting railside sweating the action.

$100/$200 a game with $1,000 on the side.

It looks like Kirkwood versus somebody else. I can't make out who he's playing. Does anybody know?

I miss the action table. This little video snippet really captures the atmosphere. Standing room only, as usual. :grin-square:

Definitely not a fan of stopping the flow of a game to address bets, watching the video makes you wonder why there aren't more fights.

Edit: That was not Scooter sitting down to the right with the rice bowl haircut, though it did look a little like him for a second.

Sure did look like him. Thanks for the clarification. :)

Meanwhile, there's these two guys on the right-hand side that are flipping a coin the entire time the game is in progress betting on the coin flip. They must have done it about a dozen times. I guess the pool game wasn't fast enough action for them. LOL :grin-square:

Some kind soul shared this SBE action video snippet on Facebook: the 300-foot shot to see if you can hit the Coke machine for $100. Sheesh!

The guy in the blue shirt that he's playing is Spanky from NJ. He impressed me more than anyone else I saw all weekend. That boy can really play.

Spanky looks as if he lost some weight. Looking good on and off the table.

Thanks for the clarification.

Now that I watched it again, I think that's Sugar Shane on the right flipping the coins.

I swear that looks like Scooter with the rice-bowl cut, though. He must have a twin. :)

Never seen or heard of him before but he was the king of the table Friday night. Jarrod Clowry was hittin'em pretty good too.

Spanky was one of the players chosen for the pilot of a reality TV series called "The American Road Player." He's been making the rounds for a few years now, though I've never had the pleasure to see him up front and close since I've been on a permanent pool hiatus. :p

Spanky must really fly under the radar if you haven't seen him before since he's hails from close by your neck of the woods. ;)

His brief bio for the reality TV show, which is on the shelf as of the time of this writing, is here on this link at the bottom. I tried to attach it, but the AzBilliards software won't allow you to attach photos today for some reason. :frown:

Gotta love seeing Jarrod Clowery hitting 'em again. Actually, he's always hit 'em strong. We used to run into him on the Joss Tour, and he's shot in the Open a few times.

Now he's my hero, surviving that awful Boston Massacre. He's strong, Boston Strong.

Jarrod is actually a really, really nice person, which is quite refreshing in this pool world, I must say.

I did see him in the action room Friday night as I was leaving.

That has to be Scooter even his expressions are the same, that is Sugar Shane and Russian Kenny flipping the coins. Kenny was doing it earlier in the week, he would make a bet on the game and win or lose he would ask to flip double or nothing.

Jarrod plays better now than I remember him playin before.

I met the owner of this YouTube channel when my buddy played him in the Amateur Open this past weekend. Really nice guy, so if you like his videos, then show his channel some love.

Also, the action room this year has its own separate entrance from the expo. Unlike past years, you don't need an expo badge to get into the action room. I wouldn't be surprised if Allen Hopkins came up with this in response to a single nit complaint; *in a jersey accent* I come down for action, don't shop, play or watch the pros.

Time to get a new prescription. It was indeed Scooter.
