We were lucky to meet Mr. Eric Crisp of Sugartree Cues in Vegas during the BCAPL Nationals in the TARPIT. He was with fellow New Mexico cue builder Wes Hunter of Hunter Classic Cues. Both guys were kind enough to take the time to give TAR an interview that will be available soon.
Eric walked up to me with this cue in his hand and said "Here, you guys take this." I was stunned to say the least. We are very greatful to Eric for this very generous donation. He did not ask for anything in return. No ads, no mention on the website, just gave us his personal playing cue because he likes what we do. I have come to realize that cuemakers are a pretty special group.
Thank you Eric from everyone at TAR we really appreciate this. At first Chad and I were going to have a Mexican Flaming Cage of Death match to see who got to keep the cue, but we figured Eric meant for us to use it to improve TAR so reluctantly that is what we will do
Here are the pics of the cue. It is a sick peice of Rosewood with a handle that Eric called " Birdseye with bark inclusions" 2 shafts with phenolic joint and butt cap. I am guessing the weight at around 19. Shafts are around 12.8 I am guessing. If someone needs the exact measurements I will get them. This was Eric's personal playing cue and it has been played so there are some very small finish dings that I couldnt really capture in the pics. If you buy it and dont like the cue send it back within 3 days for a full refund.
We will include a TARPIT event tshirt and 2 DVDs of your choice.
Price is $1750 and includes shipping and insurance via Fed Ex Next Day service. Payment is through PAY PAL at merchandise@theactionreport.com.
If you have any questions just post them up or PM me.
The money from this cue will go to purchase a camera lens that I sold when we started TAR. We have been using a kit lens and a $100 cheapo leans for all of our stills and product pics since we started. Thanks to Eric that will change. Here is the new hotness:
