Well, you finally did it. You got DM banned.
I seriously don't want to hear how DM did it to himself either.
You are worthless sack who stirred the pot and then whined until you got your way.

Mike,

I don't get it. Shorty hijacks a thread started by Hal, Hal defends himself and then Hal gets a warning. You deleted what DM said in response but in no way was it justification for getting banned.
Why do you continue to protect Shorty even when he starts the trouble? I just don't get it.

That's the $1M question. I guess only Shorty and Mike know the answer to that but I'll take a shot.
Shorty starts some crap with you, you defend yourself, Mike bans you for defending yourself.
 
Drivermaker was banned?!! LOL. He was always a troublemaker. If you're reading this DM, you might want to try PoolChat or RSB. Lots of good information on aiming systems and Moori tips. Way to go Shorty!! :D

People like Shorty, who start all this sh!t get protected, while guys who post a thread trying to sell a cue, defends himself and gets banned.
There is no good reason or excuse.

Mike, you're letting go the guys who actually contribute knowledge and keeping people like Shorty who contribute nothing. C'mon man, do the right thing.

Well I'm new here so I can't say much in regards to how the forum is run. I can say that in the short time I've been here, I've agreed with some of the stuff that DM has said and I've disagreed with some of it.

Just take a look at the "does backhand english reduce squirt" thread to see what I mean. He did sound a little vindictive in that last post of his there though, but I wouldn;t say that it warrants banning him. Again I don't know the reason that he was banned, but he did seem to have a great amount of knowledge of the game and was willing to put it out there. I know that I am willing to put my knowledge of the game against most anyone's, but disagreement and getting past it is what fosters close relationships. Those of you who are married will know what I mean here.

I don't think that anyone should be banned short of straight up ignoring adminstrators requests multiple times, but again, I'm not the adminidtrator here either and I don't know the circumstances of the bannings.

All I can say is that it has several people rather upset, and I did look forward to seeing DM's replies to my posts.

This would seem to be the thread.

My thoughts are :
- Hal was trying to see a cue in the 'for sale' section, no problem with that
- Shorty made a snide comment about the price, and while snide comments are one of my specialties, I though he came into the thread from left field to knock Hals price, not a very cool nor nessesary thing to do imo
- the count seemed to be well in favor of 'Shorty is an ass' over 'leave Shorty alone' in the ensuing bickering, which makes me part of the majority
- Shorty got blasted by a few members, some comments were not politically correct (like that is a big suprise :rolleyes: )
- Shorty is somehow afraid of some 'posse' (?) , which makes me believe that he lives in some wild west fantasy world
- Hal and DM get banned (apparently DM posted in the thread, but it was deleted, this I infered from other posts, I did not see it), which sucks big time

I tend to agree with Koop, it feels to me like Shorty might have whined to Mike about the 'bad treatment' he recieved in the thread. If this is what happened then I would suggest that Shorty is too thin skinned to participate in a public Internet forum and he should restrict himself to lurking. If all this is what it takes to get someone banned we are in serious trouble here imo. From my perspective we'd be better off without Shorty rather than loose Hal and DM.

But on a lighter side, I've been rather pleased with a lack of Marissa posts lately.

The right thing for Mike could be to limit his stress over his website. Banning people who cause whiners to whine is one way to do that. It's not the right thing to do for the members, but it may be for Mike. If this is the reality, it's too bad for us.

and DM should be banned for it, IMO.

Where do you see who's banned?

And I do not agree with someone hitting on
someone's reputation, and the person that got
the hit can not see who he got a negative hit from.

While the anarchy of rsb often causes the group to become totally useless for long periods of time, over-moderation can lead to a very dull place. I hope this is not the fate of AZ, but banning DM and Hal most certainly will reduce a bit of the excitement around here ... again I hope this is not the edge of a slippery slope.

DM gone??? Hal gone??? That's not right. I've never had a problem with DM, call it crazy - call it dumb luck - but I really like what DM adds to the forum and that doesn't mean I'm in a posse or anything. This is silly.

You're right in many ways Charlie, about this site being the best there is, but to ban 2 people, 2 good people, for defending themselves? C'mon! The guy, Hal, put a cue up for sale, Shorty knocks it, Hal tells Shorty what an a$$hole he is, Hal gets banned. DM, well we all know DM, he gets in there and tells it like it is, as usual, and he gets banned. So, now what? The little midget gets the green light to hijack every thread he wants and cock-block the cue sales? Fukk that! I haven't been on lately, but I come back and find that two valuable forum members have been banned.

As the main person who sees the brunt end of Drivermaker's stick, I've never understood the hostility I recieved, but I've never requested for him to be banned. He does offer a lot to the forum and whatever he posted can't be as bad as what he's posted in the past.

Hal has never done posted anything bad to my knowledge, so I certainly don't understand why he was banned.

I think we should all take a step back and start appreciating that Mike has this forum for us to talk on, and stop bickering with each other over differences of opinion.
